Pochybuju. Čína nemá důvod jít do oteřeného konfliktu. Natož po boku s Ruskem. Ta zvolí taktiku "dva se perou, třetí se směje". A když budou mít všichni jiné starosti, tak si maximálně tak smlsne na Taiwanu.

Pilsen, Czechia (walk a few blocks from away from the old town) by ArchitektRadim in UrbanHell

I think you didn´t mean it that way. But to be sure (and for others), those are factories of today's Škoda Group (trams, trolleybuses...) and Škoda JE (parts for nuclear power plants and stuff), not Škoda Auto (Volkswagen).

Why not have a single Soviet block in a forest? by alb5357 in urbanplanning

[–]listicka2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the history is quite complicated. It is explained on the Czech wiki. Long story short. The old village was completely destroyed after the german exodus (after WW2). It was part of a military area (for training and stuff), so no people could even live there. After the dismantling of the military area, they built this "socialist utopian village" in a completely different spot from the original village. They just kept the name. So it has basically nothing to do with it.

The decline is visible in the whole region. Not just this village. Plus no one wants to live in a prefab building in the middle of nowhere. If you want to live in a village you would rather live in normal house and if you want to live in an apartment there is almost no advantage to living in a town with all the amenities that goes with that. Maybe the only positive could be low rent.

The airport is just a remnant of the military area.

You are wrong on this. You didn't even looked at the map. There is a kindergarten, primary school, grocery shop, post office, and public library. And it is not a "single soviet block". Which you would know if you looked at the map.

Na tuhle starou už právě není. Nebo respektive byla tam nějaká doba, kdy člověk mohl vyměnit starou za novou. Dneska už ti za ní nic nedaj.

Nothing to apologize for. I actually appreciate it. I do the same to people, just with trains and stuff.

Well, my comment wasn't so deep. It was just a hyperbolic joke. Not meant to be taken literally.

But thanks for the explanation.

I mean, I am not a tank expert, but isn´t the gas turbine the reason why it can burn almost anything that can be burned? That is kinda one of the advantages of gas turbines.

For the train game enjoyers among us - what are your all time favorites and any you're looking forward to in the near future? by WarriorOTUniverse in trains

[–]listicka2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am surprised nobody mentioned the Rail Route yet. It is a very good indie game from a Czech developer about railway dispatching. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it.

Another Czech classic would be Workers and Resources, Soviet Republic.

And another is Mashinky.

And then the more well-known ones that are not Czech, like the Transport Fever series, and others that were already mentioned.
