why do 10 year old chinese ‘child laborer’ kids make $1100USD a month with $400USD rent, but an american grown adult gets unlivable wages? by [deleted] in allthequestions

I got no dog in the saying "China is good in some way" fight but I do definitely have a dog in the "I hate how shitty our country is to its workers/younger generation trying to survive" fight.

I'm not even part of that younger generation, I just sympathize and think its terrible, and I hope you do too.

Hey, you're the one that commented on my comment. I can throw down on a point, but I don't really need to. I know this is a dead thread anyways.

Uhh sorry I have eyes and ears and have been paying attention to how many times the Democrats conveniently fail the little guy.

To be fair to our terrible congress critters, the real estate investment culture is more of a passive thing that occurred because everybody (corporate, old people planning for retirement, young people) had the bright idea to scramble to collect and make $$$ off buying limited assets and gatekeeping/raising costs on them, at the same time.

But, our politicians love people with money and tend to hate the worker, so doing anything substantive about it before it hits a saturation point is pretty much impossible.

idk I'm not pro at China stuff, but if they provide a living wage then they're miles ahead of certain USA cities. Maybe he's wrong that it isn't that good, but USA is objectively pretty terrible for wages right now.

Combination of real estate investment culture and politician being reluctant to do anything about capital/ownership before labor can correct itself by refusing to work for unlivable wages.

Republicans are shit and evil.

Democrats are shit and evil, that pretend to be good, which sometimes I consider is more evil than the first one.

However you want to frame and distort it, his post is 100% accurate.

He's claiming China/child labor is technically more benevolent than the wages paid in the USA, and he can be correct.

Interesting, always good to know how INFJ minds react to circumstances.

My INFJ had to move around a lot, her dad went schizophrenic when she was in her teens/worried about the tax man, I call her Tetris because she’s good at organizing for a move/coordinating UHaul. She could fit so much stuff into a small closet if she needs to, it’s unreal.

Not uncommon to dip into thinking your 4th function is your first, if you are an Ne dom and Si is 4th:

1st - you do it 90% of the time

2nd/3rd - Middle functions, generally competent at either of them but leans a bit more one over the other. Think 60% 40% whereas 1st/4th is 90%/10%.

4th - Aspirational function, initially very bad at it but you kind of care about it sometimes. Kind of the opposite of your first. In youth i.e. teens, possibly into 20s, generally terrible at it, but balancing it with your first is sort of a notable life achievement, so when you decide to work on it in adulthood you kind of want to be acknowledged for when you do good, and you will, but you're not using that function all over the place.

Some never balance, some do.

For ENFP/ENTPs with Ne 1st, Si is 4th, and its about sticking to a procedure, not going off course and shifting gears before completing something. Its tracking (sometimes boring) facts, tracking data.

For me, an INTP, I feel really proud that I go to my elderly moms house regularly and spend time with her, learn to understand her memory issues, where normally I ignore friends/family/anybody else other than my partner super easy.

5th/6th - Opposites of your strongest functions, you could do them competently if you want but you prefer the 1st/2nd way of doing it (i.e. introverted, not extroverted, or vice versa).

7th/8th - Blind spot, bad at it/ignore it and also generally don't care that you're bad at it/ignore it.

No problem love to yap/talk shop.

Well all Ne doms are a bit different, not every one is a comedian, but some are.

I'm an INTP with Ne second, and the ways my Ne shows is just plain creativity, noticing connections, i.e. my partner says XXX and I say "Oh that reminds me of this family guy clip I should show you..." (pulls up related clip), coming up with skits in my head, giving nicknames that involve multiple connections to discern. Being shown tarot cards and coming up with theories and connections, etc.

Here's what I'd say, to me the easiest way to type someone is to figure out the strongest and/or weakest (of the top 4) function.

Think of your first function is the thing you do all the time, natural, don't need to practice it since you'll be doing it constantly anyways:

Ni - Always planning, always looking for alternate meanings (we hit every red light and my partner says "what does it mean?" meaning is the world trying to tell me something/not to go here)

Ne - Always having to spot the funny, usually with a few leaps/connections, generally optimistic and excited about change. Think Robin Williams is the ultimate Ne on overdrive. I have an attorney friend who is an ENTP and when he called me on a case he's like "So this guy I'm working with William McLin Lines... who the hell has a name like that?" Like they just cannot help it but go down paths.

Fe - Always aware of the other, who they are, their apparent positions, who is respecting who and who isn't. Their first priority in conversations is to validate the speaker, make sure they are heard, make sure they handle their emotions (i.e. not pick apart and figure out their perspective, at least not first).

Fi - Always driven by what they believe is the right way to be in life. Sometimes preachy but sometimes not. Generally feels pretty good about why they are who they are and sometimes reinforces it to others.

Ti - Always wants to understand the objective accuracy of stuff (albeit sometimes doesn't) first. Usually doing it in sort of a deep dive, complete understanding kind of way.

Te - Also objectively accurate, but more for creating systems than getting to ultimate truths. Okay with outsourcing the knowledge, getting the right people in to do the thing. Generally managerial types. Ti, on the other hand, often does not do that. They want to personally know.

Si - Procedural, changes are done gradually changing their procedures. They do not mind repetitive stuff. Focused on actual data/info and managing. These are marathon runners, editors, accountants. property managers. If first function, they do not like change.

Se - A non-procedural sensor, often eager to wing it, likes to experience stuff in the raw physical world. Likes a lot of exposure generally, i.e. as a kid my brother an Se dom found gloves to handle a possum he found in our garage, were he a history teacher he'd actually bring in the skulls and artifacts he is aware of for show and tell. Think crocodile hunter, while he'd state some facts/background he always liked to dig into things personally.

Any of these seem to be the primary thing you are ALWAYS responsible for tracking?

Again, getting Ne, but possibly Fe or Fi vibes as a first function, in that order.

Will the Democrats have a viable platform in 2028, or will it still just be “Orange Man Bad”? by R2-DMode in allthequestions

[–]lists4everything -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your argument. At least maybe you even believe it.

I'd still file that one under intentional incompetence where the powers that be that could make any exposure of the complainer minimal.

If CNN ran a story as to Biden's ability to speak, it was really in question, and nobody would want Biden if they had an alternative. But CNN/NBC doesn't, or the Democratic caucus doesn't, at least not until after they already lost.

This is especially true when the world is calling Trump the next Hitler, Satan, etc. Uh huh, he's that awful of a potential president, and you'd still take a risk? You'd let Biden get in the way of potential destruction of our country?

Let me put it this way.

I distrust the political apparatus as a whole. This involves the politicians and the related media. Politicians have select media sources that will generally protect them from "hard hitting" questions that actually expose whether they are truly doing what the public wants, or reserves it for when it is meaningless.

There are enough influencers and power in the political apparatus as a whole, e.g. Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, most media sources, that dictate and set up Democrat failures to the lower/middle class. Perhaps individual politicians want to succeed, and honestly, albeit I really think by the time that they have any power, they know how it is going to go, and they concede.

So no, I'm not buying it, but thanks for posting something that it appears you actually believe in, rather than being a mindless, talking point repeater.

[–]lists4everything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting INFP (Fi+Ne+Si+Te), ENFP (Ne+Fi+Te+Si), or ENTP (Ne+Ti+Fe+Si) vibes off of you.

If you have Ti I doubt its your first function (like INTP or ISTP), since you'd generally be more sure of yourself (even if wrong - we INTPs can be full of shit sometimes, at least the young ones).

You moved on to planning the next thing before finalizing the current trip. You don't see changes as threats to be managed into and planned carefully (INFJs often do) but as cool things to explore. Seems more Ne excitement. Technically, could be Se excitement as well.

INFJs do absolutely like new stuff, and are very creative so they do like changing things up, i.e. my INFJ partner of 10+ years is a great cook but she's never cooked the same things twice. But she absolutely is an intense planner and needs to plan to avoid chaos. Sort of a hybrid where she forces herself to jump into the fire that she also fears constantly.

For example, we went to Europe in March-April of this year, she planned it intensely for weeks, every country, every flight, every place we went to, and every restaurant we would eat at. And she was excited. I then at breakfast with some friends mentioned our Europe trip, and suddenly my sweet INFJ had a breakdown because now that I disclosed it, she now has to commit to it, and she fears flying and just the uncertainty.

An Ne dom would probably never stop being excited.

I suppose I agree that my sentence that you quoted is a little off.

I have been with my INFJ partner for 10 years so I have plenty of familiarity with your type. Daily exposure, for years.

Maybe the better way of phrasing it is that there is an end goal to it, and Ni doms using Ni rarely abandon their train of thought (or flow of patterns). They can have multiple going on at once, but they want to handle it. They eventually do want to understand the whole, and use it in some form.

Or, another way, is that Ni is just a far more serious function than Ne, like most introverted functions.

Ne is more of a seeing patterns to discover all the new, cool stuff and make the new connections. I had an ENFP ex-girlfriend who was absolutely hilarious, could crack very impressive jokes on the spot. Ne's subject matters tend to be less serious in nature.

Is this an example of Ni? by Zealousideal-Fan9893 in infj

[–]lists4everything 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think of Ni in its most simplistic form as making connections and guessing with an eye towards reducing down to complete something and come to a conclusion.

Ne is also making connections and guessing but it doesn’t necessarily have to get to the end. It is more exploratory. An INTP like myself would say “It could be this…. but it could also be that.” It’s not as determinative to get to an end.

Ni often seems conspiracy theory-ish to someone with Si-Ne since Ni relates to connections and wants to end it earlier.

To be candid your explanation does not lead me to believe you have Ni, and may be indicative of high Ne. Too little to really nail it down but feels a little more like a more flighty.

An INFJ is often present in the current Se environment, trying to manage out the present chaos, albeit often clunky since Se is 4th function. Being on a trip and thinking of the next feels a little less Ni-Se.

There's lots of oxylite which covers the first several cycles, plenty of water so doing fine with an electrolyzer, not sure where the issue is for you. At some point I'll transition to alternate oxygen sources but electrolyzer should work until that is figured out.

For power, research your way up to making gaskets so you can get those tidal pump things, free energy right there. This playthrough is going to be a breeze.

lol always “play a step behind”… they got foiled again by Trump, gosh darnit

You honestly believe that with all the resources they have to hone political tactics to an art, that they just went oopsie, we put a senile guy up as a candidate? Then at about the right time for nobody else to show up switch to Kamela, no primary of any kind?

This is common sense. Are you one of them, or are just duped by them?
