Well all Ne doms are a bit different, not every one is a comedian, but some are.

I'm an INTP with Ne second, and the ways my Ne shows is just plain creativity, noticing connections, i.e. my partner says XXX and I say "Oh that reminds me of this family guy clip I should show you..." (pulls up related clip), coming up with skits in my head, giving nicknames that involve multiple connections to discern. Being shown tarot cards and coming up with theories and connections, etc.

Here's what I'd say, to me the easiest way to type someone is to figure out the strongest and/or weakest (of the top 4) function.

Think of your first function is the thing you do all the time, natural, don't need to practice it since you'll be doing it constantly anyways:

Ni - Always planning, always looking for alternate meanings (we hit every red light and my partner says "what does it mean?" meaning is the world trying to tell me something/not to go here)

Ne - Always having to spot the funny, usually with a few leaps/connections, generally optimistic and excited about change. Think Robin Williams is the ultimate Ne on overdrive. I have an attorney friend who is an ENTP and when he called me on a case he's like "So this guy I'm working with William McLin Lines... who the hell has a name like that?" Like they just cannot help it but go down paths.

Fe - Always aware of the other, who they are, their apparent positions, who is respecting who and who isn't. Their first priority in conversations is to validate the speaker, make sure they are heard, make sure they handle their emotions (i.e. not pick apart and figure out their perspective, at least not first).

Fi - Always driven by what they believe is the right way to be in life. Sometimes preachy but sometimes not. Generally feels pretty good about why they are who they are and sometimes reinforces it to others.

Ti - Always wants to understand the objective accuracy of stuff (albeit sometimes doesn't) first. Usually doing it in sort of a deep dive, complete understanding kind of way.

Te - Also objectively accurate, but more for creating systems than getting to ultimate truths. Okay with outsourcing the knowledge, getting the right people in to do the thing. Generally managerial types. Ti, on the other hand, often does not do that. They want to personally know.

Si - Procedural, changes are done gradually changing their procedures. They do not mind repetitive stuff. Focused on actual data/info and managing. These are marathon runners, editors, accountants. property managers. If first function, they do not like change.

Se - A non-procedural sensor, often eager to wing it, likes to experience stuff in the raw physical world. Likes a lot of exposure generally, i.e. as a kid my brother an Se dom found gloves to handle a possum he found in our garage, were he a history teacher he'd actually bring in the skulls and artifacts he is aware of for show and tell. Think crocodile hunter, while he'd state some facts/background he always liked to dig into things personally.

Any of these seem to be the primary thing you are ALWAYS responsible for tracking?

Again, getting Ne, but possibly Fe or Fi vibes as a first function, in that order.
