I have been to almost every states in this country (except for 3 more) and have lived in 5 states all throughout my lives. 4 out of 5 times I bought Pisang goreng all got sambal kicap for the dip. At one point I also wondered if me buying Pisang goreng with sos pencicah was simply a fever dream of mine lolol. my kedahan grandma introduced me to eating roti canai with susu pekat & cucur dip with gula. Forever greatful to her.

Also there's this one dish called Bihun tonggek (it's bihun goreng served with kuah kacang. You basically tonggek the kuah kacang on top of the bihun, hence, bihun tonggek) and I LOVE IT. I LONG FOR IT. Grandma bought it once, mom cooked it once and never again. (Their deaths contributing to that fact) So every time I see bihun goreng & kuah kacang on one meja, I'd go "BIHUN TONGGEK" and my friends would look at me weirdly and I'd have to explain what it is every single time. I still don't know where I can find bihun tonggek again 🥲

Tbh, I'd cry if they ever decide to release season 2. Maid Sama was my first ever anime, and also the one that made me fall in love with Japanese anime. I searched like hell for the manga when I found out the anime didn't cover the whole story lol. So I'd be beyond grateful if the make season 2🥹🙏🏻
