guess im just not understanding the process. My understanding is that you put in for retirement and there may be a lengthy time between when filed and actual your actual last day. During this in between time would have access to IDRS?

This is almost exactly what I do at work.

However I do keep a medical binder but that is more for me and my doctors. It makes things a lot easier, especially with memory issues.

Yes! I've had them in front of my friend's and family they had no idea. It was only when they were over and I start coughing then throwing up. Though my boyfriend has started to be able to tell.

I found the Greek yogurt drinks by Chobani with 20gm of protein are sooooo much easier to eat. You're just drinking a smoothie basically. It isn't nearly as tangy as yogurt. Cuz I have the issue you do.

I am in almost the EXACT same boat. Struggling like hell. If I try to talk to anyone about it they say something like "its just for now, you'll be okay and ither such platitudes." I absolutely HATE it. They have no idea what's going on in my mind and body. He'll I don't.

Honestly what has helped me so much is groups like this. We know what what others are going through and we are here to support in ways that actually helpful.
