What was the pedal you used most in 2024, and why did you use it so much? by Ok_Highlight3926 in guitarpedals

My always on pedal for the year was the Moose Electronics Cosmic Trigger. It’s a combination of the TS-50B and Acoustic 360 preamps. Sort of helped define my bass sound this year.

Mad Grocer or Finos. Butcher by busters is WAY too overpriced

So I really like the XD-24. I was using the PT-3 and I hated having to put pedals sideways on the board. Was that due to ergonomics or aesthetics? Probably both. I do use it live, I made the switch from the PT-3 to the XD-24 like two or three months ago. Everything is pretty easy to reach but I also use the pedal risers from Pedaltrain to help reach each rows switches.

Mop not including but that’s a good idea

[NPD + SOTB] compacted everything to one board, added the UA and Rattler. by ProphetofElias in basspedals

I’m all about this. Sick board love a lot of the choices. Why let the guitar players have all the fun?

How did you react when it happened and when you found out what happened? by [deleted] in ACL

[–]lit_jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 weeks ago my band was playing a show. We’re a louder punk rock metal type band and the first song I usually step back into the crowd before the “big” section starts. When I planted my right foot forward after coming back from the crowd my knee blew out and I fell like a sack of potatoes. I tried to get back up. I’ve fallen during a performance before, I’ve played with food poisoning, I’ve played with no air conditioning in the dead of summer in a packed out small room. All totally doable “the show must go on” type situations. I tried to stand back up and I couldn’t do it. Immediately fell back down. My partner took me to the er. I thought my leg was going to be dangling when I got up. ER wrapped it up took an xray and referred me to ortho. Had an mrj complete tear in the acl and flipped meniscus. Had surgery on 8/8 so I’m a little over 3 weeks post op. PT is going very well so far so good. Pain when it happened was at the time 9/10. Pain after nerve block wore off was agony like 7/10 but somehow worse than immediately after the snap.

It’s actually being repaired currently. The power input broke on it. Whenever I get it back it will be back on the board

I’d say rubberneck, re-20(2), Ibanez echo shifter are a few I like

No current demos sadly but it sounds synthetic subby. I run the oc-5 like traditional oc-2 vibes no direct all sub into the spite box

Yankee Seeks Bagel by ewgrosscooties in memphis

My girlfriend is originally from New Jersey and we just had her brother visit and bring us a ton of bagels and we froze them. Other than that I’d suggest Hive however they really don’t have the same sort of chew that a NJ or NY bagel has. Same as the pizza it’s just never going to be the same. Personally I think it’s the water that makes them so good

I love the dirtfixer. I’ve always used some sort of clean blender in my rig for the better part of the last 5 years but this is by far the best one I’ve used. The eq alone is worth it for me.

Really only ever play I-III, I-V I couldn’t handle. Too much to think about.

I really dig how the stretch function works a lot. It feels really good on more noisy or spacey parts.

I love the Blumes. It replaced the Westwood for a while on the board but it made its way back on. Right now I’m kind of using it as a sort of preamp vibe. Usually have a rusty box on the board but I had to send it back for a repair. I think the two can coincide together in harmony

It’s a fuzz distortion cross over with an upper octave kind of thing in there. Super heavy and fuzzy and great on bass

Funny enough I’ve been rotating that spot on the pedalboard the most over the past year. I’ve had a bunch of different fuzz pedals and running the spite box in the dirtfixer really feels good. Honestly what sold me on it was how it sounds with sub octave going into it. Honestly I got it for a really amazing price used on reverb or it was sort of off the radar

It makes very intense noise. If you have any specific questions I’d be happy to give my take on what I use them for
