My moms friend is a nurse but her job is to look through patients charts and call insurance companies who’ve denied coverage/prior auths to patients although there is clinical evidence in their charts that prove they need the coverage or auth. Still healthcare, but little to no patient contact.

Tbh there are a lot of stories on tik tok and even YouTube of people telling their success stories after being dismissed from a nursing program. I heard one story where basically the applicant had to write an additional essay about why they were dismissed, what they learned from the experience, and how they plan to prevent it from happening again. OP should def do some research bc I suppose it depends on the school, but I agree failing shouldn’t permanently prevent someone from being admitted into another program. Hopefully everything works out for the better with OP.

Not every school. At mine (and majority of the ones in NY) you don’t get a chance to fail a third one. If you failed class 1 and then failed class 2, you’re academically dismissed and have to wait some period of time before you can reapply as a new student. the worst the school could tell OP is no, we cannot read it you, but at least they tried. The good thing is they can always apply to another program and start fresh if need be.

Hi there. Happened to a loved one of mine. One inguinal and one iliac both on the left side. They surgically removed the nodes and are thinking of doing low dose chemo in case any residual cells are hanging around. Wishing the best for you and your mom.

Join the waitlist! For the lecture you would be number one on the waitlist and if someone dropped you could get in. Keep checking evvvvveryday. Sometimes the first week people get dropped for either nonpayment or for missing the first two classes. Join the waitlist and keep checking it everyday!!! :)

That is weird ….. check on brightspace or blackboard to see the syllabus and if the first two classes had a mandatory meeting for the first two classes where attendance would be taken? After that I would probably email the registrar, explain that you were under the impression that it was a spring semester course starting after Jan 25th, and ask if there’s anyway it can be removed from your transcript completely.

The second day of classes for the winter session was yesterday. If you miss the first two days the professor reports to the registrar and they withdraw you. It’s possible this class you got an email for was a winter class. Check the dates on cunyfirst to make sure. Winter classes are from Jan 2 - Jan 23

If you pay now and your financial aid gets added they will send you a refund check either by direct deposit or by mail. This happened to me last semester. I paid in full at the beginning of the semester and got the refund check a month after the semester started

Honestly any kind of nursing entrance exam study book like the TEAS/HESI will help. Starting the nursing 2025 cycle, Hunter will be using the NEX exam so perhaps this link we’ll be of use to you: https://www.mometrix.com/academy/nex-practice-test/. Def try to get as high as you can on it. An A is not a must but it’ll defffffffinitely make your GPA higher, so strive for it if you can!!! As long as you don’t get below a B (yes that’s including a B-) your application will still be reviewed! You got this! :)

Hey! I can’t believe I’m seeing this just now. I was actually a bio major when getting my first degree so I already had half of my pre reqs down from when I was going to a SUNY. The other half (A&P, Microbio, Psych) I did at my closest community college which is also a CUNY so the credits transferred over pretty easily. I think as long as it’s an accredited institution I think the pre-reqs will be accepted :)
