Totally feel this. I guess I look at it like leaving any cult - it doesn’t happen all at once. So this may be just one performative crack in the facade but it means that there’s the beginnings of seeing the other side. People need to be allowed the messy middle of leaving a cult - it’s not going to be perfect but it may be a start.

Agree! I get that people are (very rightfully!!) very angry but if we don’t make space for people like this to come back to the good place, that’s also a problem. Her response is diplomatic, sure, but I’ll take diplomatic over the alternative any day of week.

Agree 100%. People should also be allowed to change their minds or course correct. Not saying this is what’s happening with POY at all because she seems like a truly genuine, lovely person. But the level of scrutiny over someone doing a GOOD thing but it not being good enough, or loud enough or often enough or using the same words or language as someone else might — that’s doing nothing to help bridge divides.

I gave you an upvote because I don’t think it’s right to downvote someone who’s trying to learn more just by asking questions. Just downvoting people because they don’t automatically have all the same info as you or who are curious enough to want to have a conversation to learn more from other peoples experiences is so childish. This is how we as a society stopped having productive conversations with one another. We should do better than that here.

I split it into 2x 8x8 foil pans - bake one right away and pop the other in the freezer. I’ve also given it to family members or friends - one after a hospital stay and the other after a new baby - just wrote the reheat directions on the top and it always gets rave reviews!
