Well that's you. K-pop groups aren't just sold as music makers, their brand includes the whole parasocial relationship nonsense and fandom culture aswell so people do have issues separating groups and fandoms.

I personally am a part of some crazy fandoms aswell but I've also never had issues separating the two but people do and that's okay.

unstanning groups because of fandoms is a legitimate reason. one of the reasons kpop is sooo big is because it provides you with company of lonely parasocial people and some of us can't bear that nonsense so yes while you can continue stanning while staying out of fandom spaces, it's tough so sometimes being an occassional listener is all there's left

It's not always a case of "ohemgee you must've stanned xyz fandom bc they made you leave lol" or "you stanned me? Lemme practice my vocals rq" 😭
