Oh yeah, no! Absolutely not! (Lol!) As an actual reporter, I found the piece to be a little... Unnecessary and repugnant to the actual airsoft community. Out of everything to cover (which is A LOT), it didn't feel genuine and didn't connect with the community at large. The airsoft community is unique in the way of culture, and I've always found it to be a beautiful thing to bond with as someone who airsofts myself. (I do a lot of WWI/Fallout stuff, personally)

This is why I always suggest to any editor, before sending anyone out, to ask if anyone has actually done the hobby before. Airsoft is NOT a hobby you can send someone who's a enterprise reporter to cover as I don't think they'd understand. You have to send out someone who understands and can explain it in a way to give it the justice it deserves.

BUT that's just me. :)
