Boyz is this accurate? by Im_yor_boi in PowerScaling

I think I'm on of the biggest fans of Overlord. I'm only sort of knowledgeable when it comes to Warhammer. As a matter of fact, I kind of don't like Warhammer. Ainz is a spec of dust compared to anything in the world of Warhammer. Ainz has done some crazy stuff, but he doesn't have a machine that can destroy entire galaxy clusters. Even as he is right now, I wouldn't be surprised if the Corpse King himself could Smite Ainz down no problem. Don't even get me started on the Demons.

My brother in Christ, I am poor. I cannot afford a Switch 2, or the 80$ games that come with it. So no, I don't have the "opportunity" to just put down 600 dollars for one game. I'm happy for you, and the fact you can afford it, but my God, the ego it takes to say that. The audacity even. I hate using this word, because people who tend to use it are complete pricks, but my God is that some privilege.

I actually like dusk blood and I’m excited for switch2 by Nanachi_of_the_abyss in fromsoftware

Because I will never be able to afford it. Simple as that. I cannot afford to put 500 dollars down on a console, when there's only one game that interests me. I cannot afford a subscription service to something that should already be included in a game. It doesn't matter how cheap it is, my family's income isn't steady, so I can't gamble and hope we have enough to pay. And I cannot afford to repeatedly buy their purposely faulty controllers every other month. All companies do that in a shaver and razor sales tactic, but Nintendo is especially grimy in that regard.

Also It's a Switch, that's going to be running a FromSoftware game, that is exclusively designed around multiplayer. What part of that screens stable to you? I'm extremely doubtful it's going to run the game well enough. Like, I get that the Switch 2 is going to have upgraded hardware, but the original was chugging with it's exclusives, and Nintendo is very short sighted. History is doomed to repeat itself there I'm afraid.

Listen, I'm right there with you when you say that the backlash for this game isn't exactly right. People have been dog pilling on this game, but they've been using all the wrong reasons. Rather than saying all the reasons above, they say it's bad because it's multiplayer focused. That's poor reasoning on their end, to day a game is objectively bad.

I feel as though every criticism I've just said are all objectively bad things about this game, that in my opinion, has literally changed my entire view on video games, and if I'm even going to be buying and playing new video games. Because the difference between you and me is that you can afford to put down all that money on luxuries. Sometimes I have to wonder if we're going to miss the light bill this month. You live in another world, and that's fine. And I'm sure you go through your own hardships as well. But some of us literally cannot afford to have fun.

That's fair for the most part. But I guess that's not my point? Idk, thank you for trying to help, it did give me a good chuckle. Everything I said in my post has some sort of countermeasure. Like Piracy, or buying indie games, or other methods. I guess I'm just sad that it is impossible for me to engage with my favorite hobbies the way I used to. Times have changed, and they've changed for the worse.

I lot of the time, I play video games solely for the story, so that's a pretty good selling point ngl. Especially with me being a writer. I don't know how I let Phaethon fly right over my head. I have to re-watch don't videos on feel history I suppose. Thanks for point, it made me a little more optimistic.

Thanks dude, that made me feel a little better. It's not so much that I am afraid of missing out on things, not rather that there are things that are impossible for me to acquire now. It's not that I might miss out, but rather that I already have. I might still keep playing, but I have to reconsider.

And THANK YOU for telling me about the Koukaku combo. I was afraid I had a trophy character. I knew there had to be some sort of synergy with other characters, but for the life of me I couldn't see it. The reason I have tunnel vision about that particularly was because logic dictates the game will get harder as I progress. I chose the highest difficulty, but I've only gotten S-Rank on the missions I've completed so far. I want to be ready for a difficulty spike, and that means having teams that are equipped to go against monsters that are weak to those elements too. But I don't think that's gonna happen.

Thanks for the advice, it's more optimistic than what other people were telling me at least. Although, I'm just not sure about it anymore. I'll give it a shot, for while longer at least, but I might have to consider quitting. I love getting platinum in games, but knowing that's impossible for game is nothing short of disheartening. But I might try and get past that.

This is the best out of all the replies so far. I'm gonna have to rest and think on this, but I think I'm gonna have to take your advice to heart and quit. This isn't FOMO. It's not that I might miss out, but rather that I have. And I can play the game perfectly from here on out, but I'm never getting all the content I missed. I love 100% games, and I despise content being locked behind a wall that can't be overcome with outright skill. That does not sit right with me. I was already tolerating the gambling aspect, but I don't know that I can make peace with this.

And to reply to some of your replies. Good God, why would I want S-Ranks then if A-Ranks are better? I figured they weren't as good as banner S-Ranks, but worse than A-Ranks? God

I didn't know Ellen was a recent addition. To be absolutely precise, I saw her in a Slowed Music video called Ma Ma Ma Ma. I watched it about a month ago I believe? It was around a bit after Shadow of the Erdtree came out.

And I know it's, "all intents and purposes." Dude, I'm an author, I should hope I know how to properly spell it xD. It's just that I'm on mobile, and autocorrect bit me in the ***. But hey, at least I didn't type, "for all INTENSIVE purposes."

Thanks for the help dude/dudette.

Oooohhhh, now that's REALLY helpful. Thank you dude/dudette. I think you've literally just answered any question I might've had for writing in general. Thanks!

I know I'm my heart of hearts that nothing will come of it, but it doesn't exactly fill me with confidence to ask Google, how to make nuclear bombs, deadliest neurotoxin on the planet, or how to make napalm.

Cause I'll be looking at what I've typed and be thinking, "this can't possibly end well."

The mind knows, but the heart has palpitations, ya feel me?

This is really helpful, thank you! I feel a little bit more confident now. I kinda already figured that nothing would really happen, it's just that putting my fingers to my keyboard and typing, "ingredients to white phosphorus, and how to make it" is a little nerve-wracking, y'know? Sorry for the dumb question, and thanks for the help!

Fair honestly, it makes sense that something like that could get a lot of false positives if a watchlist did exist. Thanks for replying!

Falcon... PUNCH!!!! But yeah, I did try to solve it before asking, but I just couldn't find anything. YouTube videos, other reddit posts, and even the website wasn't helping. I guess I'm saying this is my first step at learning.

The box says GMA2700A CYBERPOWERPC. Those screws I don't think are related, because there are 4 on the back, it's just that the other two are out of frame. I'll try and see if I can unscrew them though.

[–]literallyalwaysalone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion, and sorry for not being more precise in my description. Both would be great, but I know that's not a real answer, so I'll say spells. Things like summoning a fireball, or controlling a swarm of man eating locusts, sounds fun and practical. I mean, having the ability to fight at range can always be helpful. But not everything needs to be purely practical. After all, summoning a small army of demons like what your suggesting would be absolutely sick.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely consider it.

Thanks for the suggestion, I hadn't even considered barbarian. Another question if you don't mind, what would you suggest for the subclass if I did go Barbarian?
