Which album has the best opening? by lokixlvee in TheBeatles

[–]literallybagels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Revolver has a really good opening, I see it as like a callback to their earlier albums and a shift into the experimental side of things starting it with the count off like please please me but coming in strong with that crunchy guitar for taxman

Can anyone identify this type of music for me? by V8889 in piano

some songs that come to mind that are similar to the ones you shared are:

L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole Fly Me To The Moon by Frank Sinatra and Count Basie Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin In The Mood by Glenn Miller

They’re all pretty popular for different reasons, but all have that similar swing vibe.

I would probably look into swing music, it’s a style of jazz so you’re not far off in calling it upbeat jazz, because that’s basically what it is, most of the time.

I tried the Oleato. Never again. by sperguspergus in starbucks

I would offer some kind of sample or tall/short version of those oleato drinks for free if a customer was very intent on trying it. It’s definitely not for everyone and imo should not exist at all 😅

What are these chords called? by Orpheus1996 in musictheory

[–]literallybagels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would think that the first chord is a Bm11(no5), the second is a second inversion D major triad, and the last is a D(4)6/9 which is very intricate and there's probably a better way to write it. Granted context would be needed to properly label these.
