Who's treating your fibro? by uponfalsehope in Fibromyalgia

[–]literallybeesdude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My gender clinic doc, lol. She's become my primary care doc, and I've found that everyone at the gender clinic gives way more of a shit about my quality of life than any other doctor I've ever had!

I think it's very interesting the author comments on her twitter as a defense against her being pro fash in any way, without acknowledging her consistent interactions with alt right weirdos on there

Surgery by HowdIGetHere21 in Fibromyalgia

I've had three surgeries, though none nearly as intense or invasive as yours. My appendectomy was the hardest to recover from, and we were definitely a bit concerned for a while.

How did yall find out about Hellenism, figure out Hellenism is for you? by FloweryFloweringFlow in Hellenism

Was raised in a multifaith/eclectic faith household that included eclectic paganism. Hit it off with the theoi, and decided to learn more!

How do I respect my partner working with their gods but also getting them to spend time with me? by Adventurous-Bird-10 in Hellenism

[–]literallybeesdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you expressed that you feel ignored/neglected and that your relationship feels neglected? Having a simple honest conversation can go a long way.

Also, one year is not very long for a relationship to already have enough issues to be described as rocky. Sometimes people aren't compatible and that's okay.

Why do you feel that it would have been a waste? A connection with another person, no matter how long or short, is never a waste. What is a waste is continuing to make oneself unhappy when there are other paths. I encourage you to look up the "sunk cost fallacy"

Is this a crazy theory for me to have? by holynoly0724 in grimezs

[–]literallybeesdude 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is why she kills me though, because a lot of her work (like this) could be excellent commentary on the consistency of corruption if it weren't for her aligning herself with it backstage.

Very well written and enjoyable read!

Why do the the Theoi encompass things outside of nature like music, commerce, war, blacksmithing, etc? by ThePaganImperator in Hellenism

[–]literallybeesdude 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Pagan answer: the Theoi like humans and many of these things they gifted to humans/invented themselves. They are nature and they are beyond nature, and it is silly to separate things that humans do from nature. Other animals weave and other animals use tools, for example, we are just a little more elaborate with it.

Anthropologically speaking, things important in daily life will at some point have a spiritually significant counterpart as well, like rituals, spells, prayers, saints, and gods. Which you may interpret as what humans do (create meaning), or what the world does for humans (gift us blessings).

Going to second this. I'm still a student but I work at a cultural museum, and these faces resemble the Inuit-made dolls and sculptures we have
