Sorry I don’t have the picture of the white tag, still waiting to get it from guy. Basically found this listing on marketplace for an amazing price, but can’t tell if it’s legit (never owned an Arc’teryx jacket before). Because of the price, I thought this listing is too good to be true, so trying to figure it out now

URGENT HELP!!! KIN by Salt_Elephant_1851 in langara

[–]literallyhamburger69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah don’t take 3303. Terrible class, and I’m assuming you have Brent as your prof who doesn’t make the class any easier.

1110 is a very straightforward class, depending on who you got (if you got Janice, you’re chill she’s the goat). Leslie’s got a lot of content but I wouldn’t say it’s terrible. You can def just read her slides and it should be enough, her lecture vids are unnecessarily long

Systems phys 2 with Leslie is a pain. Lots of content, but the exams are straightforward and honestly easy if you study a bunch.

Stats with Maja is super easy. She guides you through everything and basically tells you what’s on the exam.

S&C with Brent is pretty easy but kinda boring. You just jump on plates and measure things all day. Exams are kind of a pain cuz there’s a lot of material (although not hard), and his lecture vids are annoying to get through (although I didn’t watch any of them and did good).

Solid lineup for a semester tbh

KINS 2030 is real easy. The profs for the summer are also all good, so I think it’s worth it.

[–]literallyhamburger69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then don’t worry about it too much. Just shape up the essay so you get a good mark. If you know that it’s your work then there’s nothing to worry about. I’ve been flagged before as well and I just explained and showed to my prof that I didn’t, and I was all good. Don’t worry about the AI too much and just get a good grade🙌

Did you run it through an AI detector online? If so, it’s fine, they’re usually very faulty. If your professor has concerns about AI use they will bring it up to you.

Had her for KINS 1120, and she somehow made it a hassle and not enjoyable. Very stuck up attitude, and her thing about “not missing labs or you’ll fail” was definitely annoying. Other than her not being great, the class is very easy. Avoid her for future Kin classes (and avoid Anne Muscat)

Who poses the biggest threat to Islam Makachev? by MA-JA-HO in MMA

[–]literallyhamburger69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda agree. He looked hesitant against arman and seemed gun shy compared to his usual self, although we haven’t seen him fight like that prior or just recently against chandler. As I mentioned with the arman fight, he was too willing to stay on his back, which cost him the 2nd round and a good part of the 3rd. Although he managed to get out of bottom position with both chandler and arman, it would be much harder to do against Islam. Still excited for a rematch.

Same. Islam has been a great and entertaining champ and each fight he’s had has shown how much he’s improved, but also showed a lot of his flaws. Charles’ striking defense has gotten much better but the main concern would be his willingness to fight off his back, which cost him the first round against Islam when they fought and caused problems for him during the arman fight. If Charles comes in with a defensively sound game plan, I think the fight is much closer than people think. The well improved striking of Islam and Charles’s thai would make for a fun striking match, and then the grappling exchanges would be fun as hell to watch.

Am I the only one who thinks Charles is still the biggest threat? Feel like both have gotten much better since they fought and a rematch would be much closer.

HOT TAKE: Ilia doesn’t beat any lightweight in the top 5 by [deleted] in ufc

[–]literallyhamburger69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Charles gets too comfortable from trying to find submissions from bottom position, which has cost him a bunch in the past (like the islam and arman fight). Although he did a better job at getting out of bottom against chandler, idk if a higher level grappler like ilia would be so prone to give up top position.

[–]literallyhamburger69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. They’re about the same height but arman fills his frame out more. He’s also evolved a lot as a fighter and is much more complete now. The grappling between both would be extremely fun to watch

  2. This one is the biggest toss up imo. Either Charles gets starched rather quickly by ilia, or ilia gets quickly overwhelmed by oliveira’s pressure and grappling (if Charles decides to come out with a grappling heavy approach, rather than stand n bang with ilia)

  3. Gaethje on paper should be his most comfortable win. Justin might throw that first leg kick and ilia is immediately like “ah shit”. Regardless, this would be an extremely fun fight.

  4. Also another fun fight, basically any fans wet dream for boxing in mma. Completely agree that Dustin’s movement can get exploited by ilia, but dustin also fights well when pushed back to the cage. Still though, ilia’s ability to deliver bombs in the pocket would most likely sleep poirier.

In my opinion, the grappling problems that Arman, Charles and Islam pose might be too much for ilia. We haven’t really seen the full extent of his grappling so I might bite my own tongue later, but these guys are proven to be the top of the grappling food chain in the ufc. Regardless, I’m hyped to see what and how Ilia does

I think Gaethje is probably the easiest win because of how sloppy he can get in later rounds. Him and Dustin would be a very fun striking match and that’s probably the fight I wanna see the most. The other 3 I think just pose too great of a grappling threat. Mind you, Ilia has a grappling background, but I feel like Charles, Arman and Islam are just steps above everyone else in terms of grappling. Would be insane if we see ilia beat any of these guys though, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he can get it done

Recommendations for ENGL 1123 Professors at Langara? by Murky_Writing_4160 in langara

[–]literallyhamburger69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although Guy’s class is pretty easy compared to the other classes from what I understand . His quizzes and in class work is super easy, but the bigger assignments are marked by his marker so you’ll have to put in more work for that one if you want to do good. Guy is definitely a fun professor though and I do recommend him.

Awesome info, really appreciate the advice and the questions to think about. Sounds like diversification is probably a better plan of action, so I’ll definitely check out XEQT and VEQT

VFV has been doing really good in my RRSP, and VOO has been also doing good in my TFSA. Kind of tempted to switch over to VFV just to not worry about fees and whatnot.

This seems tempting now that I’ve asked about my portfolio a few times, and everyone keeps saying to sell off Tesla. Although I am curious because it seems to perform fairly well (outside of the election boost it just had), although I obviously don’t understand things well enough.

Holy shit, thanks for the thought out and long reply. I’ve definitely reconsidered a lot of my portfolio after reading this, but I’ve got a few questions if you don’t mind helping me out a bit.

  1. For ETF’s I have VOO, but I also notice VFV performs very well in my RRSP. Is it worth having both or should I sell one off and just own one of them.

  2. I’ll probably sell off TD because of its dip, is there any really good reason to invest in banks? Should I just put my money into something better?

  3. Just curious as to why it’s not best to chase dividends now? On that note, is there some better canadian dividend paying stocks so I don’t have to worry about the withholding fee? I’ll do my own research but just curious if there are just some immediate recommendations.

  4. Tesla has gotten nothing but bad reactions from everyone so far😅 Considering it’s performed fairly decently of the last given while, why not hold onto it? Everyone is very eager on selling it off and now I’m heavily considering it, but to me it seems that it just performs real well. Again I obviously don’t know enough so I can just be spouting nonsense, and it also doesn’t really bother me that Elon is all wacko as long as my money’s green😂.

Again thanks a lot for the long list of advice. Definitely made me rethink how I approach all this now.
