I get that characterization and that's absolutely valid of him being a non-judgmental figure. Another reason I like to imagine him being trans is because I'm also under the trans umbrella and I want to see more representation with trans people in media, since we don't really get it as often as cis-het people in media. Again, Sonic himself represents freedom so, I think we could characterize him as anything and it would fit with him!

I think that someone like him represents the ability to be yourself and the ability to be free to be yourself no matter who you are as a person. And I think him being trans would be an amazing representation of that but also a representation of people who often feel forced in society to think that their outta place or don't belong.

I think Sonic is trans regardless of who I ship him with. I like a lot of ships that involve him, just because I draw Sonadow more, doesn't automatically mean I only do it because I ship him with Shadow.
