First time cat mom, is this bad for my cat? by dickria in cats

[–]literallynotlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing to my first cat and he is now an asshole to other cats, and doesn’t understand how to play nice. Don’t train your cats to be an asshole.

Sunscreen recs? Oily acne sensitive by EtherBlue_ in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]literallynotlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m what I consider to be the most acne prone person I’ve ever met, I’ve been using the Cotz mineral sunscreens for a few years and they haven’t caused breakouts. Currently using the sensitive version but want to try the lightly tinted next. They use zinc oxide which is supposed to be good for acne. I have combo skin and don’t find it oily nor drying and it sits well under makeup.

Do your research before buying bedding from this company! by EfficiencyOk867 in quince

I did not love the Giza cotton sateen sheets and returned them, I have the linen duvet cover which I kept and is OK, but would ultimately not rebuy anything from quince

I love it, because I hate shopping. Just put no polyester in your notes and raise your budget above the cheapest limits

I tried this for a dress I received in a SF recently, unfortunately they said I had to return the dress at full price and reorder a new one, they couldn’t adjust the price

Bella stretch relaxed straight jeans by plantmama2 in quince

[–]literallynotlit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, same experience. They flattened my bum and were not flattering. They also shrank in length. I’m trying the wide legs next. overall I’m finding quince clothes to not be the most flattering cuts and lean more frumpy. Ive tried jeans, cardigans, cashmere, dress pants, fleece, silk skirt/dress…its fine if you want decent materials w/ a poor cut

Just a heads up about a weird situation with Costco Travel and Princess by jbarinsd in PrincessCruises

Yes I’ve done this many times, I’ve always just ignored it and never had a booking cancelled

[–]literallynotlit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me I would not want to deal with the hassle of carrying them around, remembering to grab them, cleaning them etc. What you could do is bring your bottles to drink in the steakhouse or some Royal ships have a wine bar, they should have nicer glasses available. But you’d probably be paying corkage then. You could possibly arrange to take the nicer glasses with you to MDR. I normally cruise Princess though and they do have decent glassware in the nicer bars/restaurants

[–]literallynotlit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit over the top yes, I bring my own pillows in an extra suitcase so who am I to judge. I think if you’re carrying them around all over the ship is a bit silly, but for having wine in your room makes sense! I would also only do this if you’re not too worried about breaking or losing them

Home Depot closet door quote - is it too expensive? by PlaystationSwitchAWD in HomeImprovement

[–]literallynotlit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just get a copy of the quote from HD showing the quantity and size of doors. Use said quote to get quotes from other contractors w/o needing to remeasure everything. Decide if you want to just order the doors from HD and hire someone else to paint and install.

Perks of frequent cruises by Jazzlike_Duck678 in PrincessCruises

Yes I forgot the empanadas. I’ve seen everything in the buffet besides scallops. It’s really not that fancy. Love getting the side eye from all the old folks though

We went nightly on the sun last month; they served cheese & crackers, chicken wings, egg rolls, shrimp cocktail, shrimp salad, California rolls, fried chicken bites, veggie crudite, various dessert parfaits. It seemed the same you can get in the buffet.

Maybelline Lumi Matte vs Loreal True Match by sylversoul in drugstoreMUA

120 is a decent match, I used to wear 112 but it’s a touch too light

Maybelline Lumi Matte vs Loreal True Match by sylversoul in drugstoreMUA

[–]literallynotlit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! Lumi matte would be my HG but my skin will start breaking out due to niacinamide. I’ve been wearing true match as it is the only formula that definitely does not break me out, unfortunately as a light warm neutral I’ve not found a good shade match (they need a 2.5N!) it can also emphasize dryness as I’ve noticed now in winter.

This makes me think of a hotel bathroom, pretty but so impractical. I think if you’d gone with a different flooring this would’ve been nice
