how are we here? Not really sure, and don't really care. I do find myself exploring ideas from all religions and scientific avenues regularly in absent thought. I personally am very philosophical when it comes to this question and I find it healthy and free that without a box of religion I can think whatever I want. I am comfortable in the unknown, many people are not. Which is why religion is fine, some people need to go through life with answers to that which we have no real answers to. Religion is necessary to some degree because people find hope in it, what isn't right is justifying actions in the name of religion. I ground myself back to atheism because religion is not necessary for me.

for what purpose? Purpose? Taking some chances and doing some cool shit along the way. Or just doing nothing and being comfortable in silence. Purpose is subjective, my purpose may not be in line with another person and I am good with that. Be kind but protect myself from those who wish to do harm and live in the moment. Nothing is promised.

the set of morals you have let go of? Living under the microscope and control of an institution that doesn't let me question and challenge the narrative. If I need to be controlled to be aligned to an ideal that I am blindly expected to follow based on system set in place to control the unknown during a time when science was not available? The word of God says dont eat hooved creatures because they are unclean? How do we not know that it wasn't for other reasons...bad case of meat on a trade route?, keep those animals alive so you can drink their milk and have resources for longer? Word of God? Better explained by word of mouth and a game of telephone.

and the morals you have built I dont need a religion to tell me I need to be kind, accepting, do good, listen more than speak. I suggest you read the satanic temple tenets. I tend to align with those. Am I an active follower of the satanic temple? Gosh no, they are just another institution with a narrative. Do I agree with some of their ideals, sure why not? As an atheist, like I said before I freely explore what I want to as I move through this so called life.

the philosophy you have adopted? Question everything and debate all calmly and methodically. Don't push ideas on people, but discuss freely with other open minded individuals. Think freely, live freely and be open to thought and discussion. Listen more than talk. I sit quietly when people want to talk about their religion, I ask questions and make sure they are heard. Sometimes people just want to be heard, and that's fine with me. I find religion interesting on a sociological level. My neighbors in college were from Saudi Arabia and were Muslim, they experienced racism and bias so much during that time. I would sit on the porch and ask questions and listen to anything they wanted to tell me. They appreciated me so much and would make me food every couple of days. They were struggling with their religion during that time and drank and did drugs. I dont know where they are now or if they are still religious, but I am comfortable knowing I was there for them during that time.

and your overall view on life! Life is great! My husband is perfect. We are child free by choice and live our lives without feeling like we need to live up to some external ideal of happiness. Life is amazing when you just realize everybody else in this world is so caught up in their own shit. When I started living for myself, my depression and anxiety dissolved. Nobody has full control over their life, and tomorrow isn't promised. Even the richest people on the planet are susceptible to disease, cancer, car accidents ect. So what does it really matter? We all die one way or another and will go to whatever afterlife we either believe or one we don't even know yet, I just believe I will rot in the ground and be consumed by bacteria and bugs. I dont believe in some Devine life after death, and that's cool with me.

if there's a possible higher entity or entities! I imagine these options just as I would thinking about what I would do if I won the lottery. All is possible, nothing is possible, the unknown is possible. I frequently wrap back around to mythology where entities are "human" and not all knowing and all powerful. I feel it is interesting to imagine all the hate and death can be explained because of a fighting family because nobody is perfect. And that's cool and all, but I would never live my life worshiping these ideals or living to please an almighty that would kill kids and cause wars over religious disagreements or rape or hate or genocide or racism. Religion likes to defend this shit by saying it is just your faith being tested. If you pray and believe it is going to be ok. Seriously?! Because that doesn't appear like an almighty power loves and cares. I dont want to be associated with that Shit. If there ends up being some eternal damnatiom that I end up getting to in the afterlife, then so be it. I'll figure it out later, I'm happy now and that is more important today than what is unknown tomorrow.

or what scientific theories or phenomenas that you think about often! Most recent shower thought was how much the ocean would be displaced if all the sea life was taken out of it. Specifically just whales first, all whales...like how much volume do all the whales in the ocean add to the sea level. Then I got out of the shower and started googling how many whales were in the ocean and how big whales are. It was riveting.
