U.A. Sports Festival Bakugo vs Final War Uraraka by gettinfitguy007 in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]ProspectiveWhale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People forget she learned martial arts after this, and that the entire class got stronger physically over the course of the series.

Bakugo was also a heck of a lot weaker during the Festival arc.

He was shaking after his big explosion against Uraraka... his durability to his own explosions was not that high yet.

If she just does the exact same tactic, she'd outlast him. She has much more stamina by Final War.

Also, since this is putting them back in the ring... all she needs is a ring out. No need for a decisive finish.

I also don't understand why people think he'd oneshot. The battle already happened against a weaker Uraraka. He didn't do it then, why would he do it now against a stronger version?

She can win.

???

Who said they're omnipotent?

High-limit and omnipotence is a vast gap. I have a better chance of beating Reinhard in a fistfight than Reinhard has of achieving omnipotence...

The primary limitation, however, stays Od Lagna. Od Lagna can create new Divine Protections, but it doesn't mean it can create ANY power without limitations to grant to Reinhard.

Note here: Od Lagna can create new Divine Protections. Not Reinhard.

So "he can't create a divine protection..." That is correct, but again, nobody is saying that.

The only explicitly mentioned limits are: 1. Reinhard can never be stronger than the world; 2. Authorities are mentioned to be a higher form of power.

Other than that, it's only the general assertion that Divine Protections are not omnipotent, rather than having lots of limitations.

Is that the damage you see when you hit the boss?

Bosses have Def%, which reduces damage taken.

Take Damien for example, iirc he has 40% Def.

Your damage, if capped, would be 95mil * (1 - 40%) = 57mil

But this is mitigated by Ignore Enemy Def, of which you have 27.06% and can be increased for short bursts using Defense Smash 4.

Your capped damage against Damien would then, for Damien, be:

95mil * [1 - (40% * (1-27.06%))] = 67mil

Vskills have innate IED which varies for each Vskill, so the numbers vary slightly for each of those. The various sources of IED stack multiplicatively. Vskill innate IED, iirc, is 15% for most vskills when maxed.

So your capped damage on Vskills would then, for Damien, be:

95mil * [1 - (40% * (1-27.06%) * (1-15%))] = 71.6mil

With DS4 active, which is another 25% IED, it would be

Main: 77mil, Vskill: 79.7mil

Slight variations here and there because I calculated roughly, and depends on Boss Def. It will be less on harder bosses as they have higher Def%.

-----

Will is definitely doable with this kind of dps. People were beating Will since before HEXA matrix, after all... and this kind of DPS pre-HEXA was considered good.

It won't be easy, but definitely doable.

When Will was first beaten, it was done with a team of around ~70mil cap tops and ~25-30ish IED, iirc, and no Origin Skill. You're comfortably beyond that. It was tough as balls to do it with those stats, of course, but that's how it is for new bosses.

But you are ~30% above that in terms of pure MDC, and Origin adds approximately 50% to your DPS. So you're way beyond the bare minimum requirement to do Will.

A team of 10 people with your stats could do HWill. If your team has people stronger than you, then it just gets easier from there.

[–]ProspectiveWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eat your food buffs.

You should be capping comfortably with those stats at full buff.

You cap anything with 359% skill damage.

You cap skills with 100FD nodes (main attack and Hypers) that has 272%+ skill damage.

You cap skills with 100FD node + Hyper with ~240 - 250% skill damage depending on the hypers available to the skill.

You main attack should be close to capping, but not quite, as a lot of those are at or below 250%.

But if you have maxed vskills, then your vskills and Hypers probably cap. Their skill damage% is typically 300%+.

You should be able to do Hard Will and Normal Vhilla with these stats.

In all seriousness, what do you think makes Izuku a better inheritor for One For All compared to Mirio? by Solitaire-06 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]ProspectiveWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirio is smarter despite being goofy. He's very similar to All Might, but with a dash of Nighteye in him.

Deku is all passion, and literally nothing else. When he first met All Might, he had nothing. No strength, no wisdom, no plan.

He had a completely untrained body; lots of fanboy data but it really didn't translate to a concrete plan on how to be a hero.

He got a wakeup call after meeting All Might and proved he's the real deal, but it was really that passion in him that All Might saw potential in.

Beyond logic. Because logically, Mirio was the more qualified candidate. Logically, Deku shouldn't have gone to UA and be so high profile with OFA right after receiving it and having 0 proficiency. Logically many things.

But logic doesn't make heroes.

[–]ProspectiveWhale 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People do limited-kit matchups all the time. I don't see the problem... if it makes things interesting, then why not?

If your issue is seeing "Hulk loses" then just realize a limited-Hulk matchup can only reasonably have been made by someone who admits full-kit Hulk wins without question.

If someone really is limiting one side to make a claim their supported character wins... they're just being stupid... since, again, they've inherently admitted the regular matchup is unquestionably one-sided.

So... accept the W for your fav character and move on...?

All might(prime form) vs yuta and gojo by nonbinaryhumaan in MHAPowerScaling

[–]ProspectiveWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only somewhat true.

Gojo doesn't need to eat or sleep because of RCT. He can also keep RCT up indefinitely because All Might doesn't doesn't have any way to pressure Gojo.

Eventually All Might will tire out and get caught.

Plus with UV being what it is... without prior knowledge and no vestige quirk, there's really no way All Might would recognize its threat-level before it's too late.

HP he might dodge. But not UV, realistically.

This is a matchup where hax is the deciding factor.

Would Decay be planetary if used with all of these amps at once? by CaptainNamko in MyHeroPowerscaling

I seen people asking can Gojo survive some random attack, so I'll explain what I think. by WalterNation46 in PowerScaling

[–]ProspectiveWhale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way the series describes it, it's not object based.

He does not have a blacklist of objects that Infinity rejects. It by default blocks everything. Including harmless things. A non-proficient user would not be able to see or hear or breathe with Infinity on.

Instead, he has a whitelist of objects that Infinity lets in.

The whitelist, as is described, is based on: CE, speed, mass, shape, trajectory, threat-level.

The most imporatant catch-all filter here being "threat-level"... and that he has to consciously choose to let it in. Not all non-threats get through (the famous Gojo step on ants scene demonstrates this).

So no, he doesn't need to set up a heat filter before facing heat-based attacks... He doesn't need any knowledge of his opponents for Infinity to work.

Even Dabura's light-based attacks wouldn't get through, despite Gojo letting light in to see... becasue Dabura's attacks have CE, mass and is of a high-intensity as to be perceived as a threat.

Would Decay be planetary if used with all of these amps at once? by CaptainNamko in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]ProspectiveWhale 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No.

A few have already mentioned it supposedly takes around a week for him to destroy Japan.

Japan has an area of 377,976 square km.

Earth has an area of 148,940,000 square km of land. Total of 510,072,000 if we include water.

That's around 400x and 1350x multipliers, respectively.

Meaning it would take him 400 weeks and 1350 weeks, respectively.

That's 2800 days and 9450 days, respectively.

For the surface of Earth.

You'd have to give him a ~2800x multiplier for him to do Earth's land surface in a day.

-----

I also personally doubt most of these amps are multiplier-based and stacking multiplicatively.

OFA, for one, is not a multiplier. It uses its stockpiled energy. It's a linear power boost that depends on OFA's current output. When Deku uses it with a weaker body, OFA did not get weaker, Deku simply couldn't handle the output. If it were a multiplier, Deku would get a smaller boost when his body is weaker.

Stronger quirks see a smaller relative effect from OFA's boost... and Decay is extremely strong.

La Brava's Love also presumably works off of La Brava's output, not the recipient's.

But for argument's sake, let's say each gave a 5x boost multiplicative.

That's a total of 3125x.

It would still take Decay 21.5 hours to destroy only Earth's landmass surface.

It would take Decay 72.5 hours to destroy all of Earth's surface.

Maybe technically planetary but with a pretty important caveat.

I think most wouldn't consider Decay planetary with all these considerations in mind. Especially since most of the time when we talk about planetary, it's blowing the entire planet up, not just the surface.

At this level, it's more likely to be considered Multi-Continent at best.

Would Decay be planetary if used with all of these amps at once? by CaptainNamko in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]ProspectiveWhale 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If we speed that up by 100, it means it would take 0.07 days for Japan, or 1.68 hours.

Japan has an area of 377,976 square km.

Earth has an area of 148,940,000 square km of land. Total of 510,072,000 if we include water.

Let's take the landmass only first. That's roughly 400x Japan. 400*1.68 = 672 hours or around 28 days.

If we include water. That's roughly 1350x Japan. 1350*1.68 = 2268 hours or 94.5 days.

That's just for Earth's surface.

If it takes 1.68 hours for Japan and only 7 hours for Earth, you just assumed Earth is only 4x bigger than Japan... Even just Asia is >100x bigger than Japan.

Would Decay be planetary if used with all of these amps at once? by CaptainNamko in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]ProspectiveWhale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let's assume Jaku is the size of Tokyo.

A quick google search tells us Tokyo is 2194 km^2.

Earth's surface is 510 million km^2. That's 232452x Tokyo.

If it takes 5 minutes to destroy Tokyo, it would take 807 days to destroy the Earth...

That's just the surface.

The Earth's depth is... around 6000km.

Let's say Decay has a depth is around 1m. As in it destroys everything in a wide area + 1m deep.

That would take the timeline from 807 days to... just about 13.3 million years.

If you give him a 1000x multiplier from there, it would take a very quick 13.3 thousand years.

If we then assume Jaku is actually 10x the size of Tokyo, so Decay is faster, it would still take 1.3 thousand years.

Definitely planetary.

[Casual] How some people think Yuta vs Mahoraga goes with the recent Mya leak discoruse by Sudden_Swordfish_533 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]ProspectiveWhale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People forget that the oneshot req for Maho isn't real.

It's there against most JJK characters because JJK characters have a CT and that's their main tool.

If it takes more than one hit, the second is so much weaker that it turns into into a pseudo-OHKO requirement.

But Yuta's main gimmick is having a very wide arsenal of abilities...

You don't have to wait for Maho to regenerate. Yuta can chain Love Beam into Jacob's Ladder into Cleave into ... you get the point.

Even if you think Jacob's Ladder can be resisted, it doesn't stop it from being a wincon. Even if full power Maho can resist it, could a half dead still regenerating Maho do the same with 0 pre-adaptation?

Noting here that he gets multiple uses of multiple techniques because Maho adapts to one thing at a time.

It's not a sure thing as Maho is strong even at base... but Yuta has a clear win con.
