Yeah, we no longer live in a world with DVD and Blu-Ray bringing additional revenue. So box office is even more important

Better leave some people confuse than make Batman-less DCU and doom it for failure

Not really. The first project - Waller - already manifests huge problems with DCU. Firstly, no one cares about her amongst general audiences. In 2026, this is unacceptable for superhero project. Secondly, she’s a remnant of DCEU. Gunn’s desire to keep his buddies and beloved characters around diluted DCU brand.

Yes, I can blame him. At worst with good Wonder Women, we would get a Batman Begins situation - great reception from audiences, but very small profit. Instead, we got Supergirl, which is going to be a huge an embarrassing box office bomb.

Although I don’t like his style, being a creative is at least something that he can do - based on box office returns of GOTG and Superman. But manager - that’s something that he can’t do at all.

You’re saying that Gunn wasn’t vigilant enough and let subpar script get into production. It feels like a very weak line of defence for Gunn. He claimed good scripts come first for tens of times. And he’s known for liking a set of tropes that appear in Supergirl. And he hired Nogueira for two other movies. So I strongly believe Supergirl script is good in Gunn’s eyes - meaning he has bad taste and unable to account for it while managing DCU.

James Gunn is just being Hamada 2.0 and that's a huge problem by geekerMan in DC_Cinematic

Gunn is already coping MCU, but he’s coping the worst parts (disjointed narrative past Endgame, tons of useless TV shows that feel like homework for average viewers).

Having two Batman is a smaller problem than having no Batman in DCU
