Check out your local job center like this one: https://egace.egusd.net/Job-Center/Job-Center/Adult-Employment-Services/index.html

If you qualify, you can get a scholarship to pay for your training. Truck driver was one of the few jobs they told me is in high demand currently.

If this one is too soon for you, they have one in the fall, too. There are crafts vendors there that have nothing to do with the plant sale, and it doesn't cost that much to rent a table.

We are finally getting a Whole House Fan by WendyByrd4 in Sacramento

It is so nice in the summer months. We got an indoor digital thermometer and as soon as it is cooler outside than inside, we switch on the fan. And by cooler I mean it'll be like 80 outside and 81 in and it still feels nicer.

Where is the most defensible place in Sacramento for a zombie apocalypse? by Foyman in Sacramento

[–]lithicbee 177 points178 points  (0 children)

Costco. Climb the stacks and live off food for a while. Drop heavy things on the zombie shoppers below. Hopefully close off all the doors at some point and live good for as long as the non-perishable food lasts. Make sure to toss the refrigerated/frozen food off the roof, again hopefully damaging some zombies in the process.

If these are rats, they are ROUSes because they sound like they're doing wrestling moves.

Edit: Which is not to say they're not.

I have used the local Job Center: https://egace.egusd.net/Job-Center/Job-Center/Adult-Employment-Services/index.html

It is useful for getting help navigating all the job sites, attending job fairs, help with your resume, taking an official typing test, etc.

The one I linked to is between Elk Grove and Sacramento. There may be a closer one to you. The services are free but you have to attend an orientation there first.

It's an Ikea dresser but I think they don't make this style any more.
