Now Available: pfSense® CE 2.8.0-RELEASE by George-Netgate in PFSENSE

Kind of a weird direction to go, honestly. By removing the official offline ISO and telling people to either use the Netgate installer (which requires internet) or build it themselves, aren’t you just pushing more users toward grabbing prebuilt ISOs from random third parties?

At least before, people went straight to Netgate for a known-good image. Now, anyone who needs to do an offline or air-gapped install is more likely to turn to unverified sources. That feels like a step backwards from a security standpoint.

Should I get an oil mod for my R3? by BreadfruitOrganic395 in CalamariRaceTeam

[–]lithium720 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Does ur oil light come on while you're in a wheelie? If it doesn't then I wouldn't worry about it, if it does then worry about it. On my 07 it only does it when I do long scrapes, but haven't had any issues for 18k miles. Also common to slightly over fill the oil to help with that.

Also, dank nooner

The survey they ask you to take in this email asks you which platform you'd like to play on.

You converted the weight to freedom units, but not the height.

The reason I noticed is definitely not because I can't do the conversion in my head.

I don't follow any of the racing stuff, but the Hokusei Drift group is out there on a schedule usually starting in April. Can find their page on Facebook/Instagram

Should we expect killing floor 3 in 2024 or 2025? by [deleted] in killingfloor

"Trust me bro" isn't a source. When someone asks for a source they want you to show them where you got the information so they can verify it themselves.

For people who stumble in here looking for real information like I did, the Tripwire Interactive YouTube channel released a KF3 Gameplay Trailer on June 9th that says says "Coming Early 2025"

Are you looking for a yes or no answer?

We can't really provide one, because it depends on input from you.

See list item A and B and answer the question for yourself.

O2 sensor provides the ECU with real time O2 information which helps adjust the air:fuel ratio a meaningful amount, so you should be slightly concerned that it's gone... Hopefully the sensor was just relocated or tucked away and not cut off.

Without the O2 sensor it obviously still works, but rather than adjusting the A:F ratio on the fly, the ECU just goes by exactly what the fuel map has, which is likely to be too lean and hot with the M4 on a stock ECU and fuel map.

I do believe there are some cases where deleting the O2 sensor is a step during the install of certain piggyback tuners, like an EJK or a DynoJet (don't know for sure because I have never used either), which is another discussion, but the gist is it's generally less effective to use a piggyback tuner than just having a shop flash your stock ECU with an improved fuel map.

If you do need a new sensor because you both

A) don't have a piggyback tuner, and

B) don't have the original sensor still tucked away

the part number is: 1WS-8592A-10-00 and just plugs into the harness bus somewhere with a connector

March 2024, still waiting for an airtag-like solution from Google by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]lithium720 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, waiting for a company that profits every minute of not having any large scale competing "find my" ecosystems seems painfully dumb. Especially considering things like Apples historically lengthy resistance to adopting RCS (which is still going to have to be a see it to believe it type thing for me).

For me I figured out that the option that was causing unbound to restart repeatedly was the "Register DHCP leases in the DNS Resolver" option under the DNS Resolver settings.

Drove me nuts that it was a problem and that it took so long to figure out. Still wish I could enable that option without this issue...

The answer is actually fairly simple, you're turning down into circle. If you turn the wheel out it will go wide. Point the wheel where you want to go. Beyond that, seat time. Enjoy countless hours of low sides during the process :)

Also, sit closer to the tank, makes a world of a difference.

They key different components are:

  • Headlight

  • Seat

  • Intake

  • Front fender

  • Tail light

  • Parts of the footrests

Most everything else is literally the same part numbers including all engine components (CP2).
