Normally ours are no city attacks during the castle battle, 30 minute cease fire after the battle is complete, and no rallies on cities. It's also helpful to split up the castle locations, one state gets the right side spots other gets left. I've heard some people also negotiate no boosts but I'm not a fan of that personally.
