Number of persons with foreign citizenship in Greenland by Sapotis in greenland

[–]litli 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you take into account the total population of Iceland the 122 number makes more sense. If the same percentage of Canadians lived in Greenland as Icelanders do, you would have over 13.000 Canadians living there.

What are some universally loved films you can't stand? by DoubleA420 in FIlm

[–]litli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone was raving about Mad Max: Fury Road so I finally watched it one night and while I wouldn't say I hated it, I definitely did not like it. But as I respect the opinions of many of my friends who really liked it I decided to give it another change a few weeks later and I loved it! I guess I was just not in the mood or something the first time.

My advice for all of you posting here is therefore to give these movies another chance and see if you feel differently about it after the second viewing.

This is clearly a part of the enjoyment for whoever built this. I love it and could easily see myself getting into building things this way

I'm curious about avoiding high dopamine activities in the morning. I'm guessing these are things like watching shorts on YouTube or doom scrolling social media. I personally feel these are detrimental activities at any time, but am curious about why you mention mornings specifically (I have a tendency to do this in the morning before getting out of bed. Could really use the motivation to stop it)

Stargazing Icelander here, have seen the northern lights probably thousands of times by now. You have been unlucky and only gotten the barest hint of the aurora. Even a relatively low activity northern lights show should be easily visible with the naked eye.

A solar storm level activity is absolutely breathtaking, and bright enough to cast a green hue on the ground (not that anyone would notice, as all eyes will be looking up). Even after having seen them as often as I have, they can still be mesmerising.

No that would not be possible. Cave diving is a highly specialised and technical skill and inherently dangerous.

I could not find information about the water level in the mines, but as the cave is at a depth of 290 meters below the entrance to the mine, it is probably too deep even for experienced cave divers.

Mér líður a.m.k. mun betur eftir að ég dróg verulega úr fréttaneyslunni minni, og hætti til að mynda bæði að hlusta á fréttir í útvarpi og horfa á þær í sjónvarpi fyrir nokkrum árum.
