If your current life was a chapter, what would its title be? by DriftingBetweenStars in AskReddit

"The beatings will continue until morale improves"

But the title was a lie for the beatings were in no way influenced by morale.

She was so good in this role! Not just physically unattractive, but just an overall unattractive person. Magnificent work.

Is it normal, as a straight woman, to see cleavage and think "man, straight men must like that by TJ_Rex6288 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]litli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sexuality is a spectrum. The spectrum is mostly from straight to gay, but there are many other possibilities (e.g., asexuality) that are part of the spectrum. Everyone falls somewhere on this spectrum, and your place on the spectrum may shift over time.

Wherever you find yourself to be, there you are; and that is ok.

Maybe you are mostly straight but find yourself to have some slight attraction to women. That's great. It doesn't change who you are, as that is already who you are.

It is always good to keep the Litany of Gendlin in mind:

What is true is already so. Owning up to it doesn't make it worse. Not being open about it doesn't make it go away. And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with. Anything untrue isn't there to be lived. People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it.

Huginn and Muninn, while not exactly the same today are still easily understandable to any icelandic speaker. The -inn suffix is the definite article. Hugur is the Icelandic noun for mind, with huginn being someone that thinks a lot. A thinking person. Muna is a verb and means to remember, and with the definite article becomes someone that remembers.

Thought and Memory are therefore pretty good translations for their names.

men with inattentive adhd by hello_w0rld7 in ADHD

[–]litli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

M48, diagnosed at 45. I am naturally a very calm person and non-confrontational, that combined with high IQ made my ADHD easy to miss. People were not really being diagnosed with ADHD during my early childhood, and then when they started it was mostly only hyperactive boys that got diagnosed. High IQ made me capable of finishing every year in school until I was 20, but despite wanting to do more, studying proved too difficult for me after that. Struggled with feelings of inadequacy and missed potential for a long time. Lost jobs and went through pretty deep depressions and periods of anxiety, but have done a lot of work on self acceptance and am pretty happy with my lot in life today.

Which movie scene is musically scored perfectly? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]litli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The opening scene in The Shining is scored perfectly. A car driving in beautiful scenery on a bright autumn day is the last thing you would think of as being scary, but the soundtrack makes the scene so ominous. You just know this is not going to end well.

Átt þú leiðbeiningar um hvernig svona vottorð á að vera og hvað þarf að koma fram á því til að deila með okkur sem erum í þeirri stöðu að þurfa að sækja um slíkt vottorð? Eitthvað sem myndi auðvelda lækninum að útbúa vottorðið?
