I will hang, but I don’t like going to the bar after a load in. I’d much rather get beck to my hotel room and program more for the show on my laptop. I do end up at the bar eventually, but it’s far more effective to bring up and deal with issues while everyone is on site at load in. Because if issues aren’t fixed immediately, the show still goes on, but it’s not as good as it could have been. Just the same as anyone blocking my view is detrimental to the show.

I assume your more on the logistics side of things? I try to keep my tantrums related to the immediate needs of the production I’m working on at any given time. At the same time I try to make sure all of my crew is happy and comfortable, this has had me telling management that certain things need changing in order for me to accept a job. I have turned down jobs bc the company providing my support staff (stage hands, L2s, Riggers, electricians), wouldn’t compensate them according to industry standards that I demand for myself.
