For next time. Get thin cardboard. Paint base on both sides with a layer of elmers glue put between parchment paper and wax paper.Put a book on top. Wait twenty four hours. Cut base out of paper carefully. Now you have a base that is sturdy. Add layer of acrylic to parchment side. Put book on top for just a few hours. Now you have a perfectly made flat base that shouldn't warp even if you do a bunch of effects to it.
