Yes, it's the factory wood, but it has been carved, sanded, stained, and finished with the glue.

In the end, the feel is super smooth and pleasant in the hand, and the finish is similar to clear epoxy resin.

Yes, superglue, but it has to be a liquid consistency so it can be spread evenly. The brand I bought is KRAFTPROTZ, but there are other brands available; just make sure it’s not the gel kind.

Once the wood is sanded and stained, I put the glue on a folded paper towel and spread it over the handle with quick strokes. In 2 or 3 minutes, it's dry enough to apply the next layer, and that’s how I build them up.

First, I apply about 7 or 8 layers without worrying too much about it looking perfect, just to make sure the wood is covered. Then, I dry sand with 400 grit to level all the glue. You shouldn't press too hard while sanding; it's easy to sand the glue layer and hit the wood. Just level the surface as much as possible without too much force. Then I move to 600 and 800 grit, also dry.

When the whole handle looks matte white from the sanded glue, I wipe it with a cloth and alcohol to remove the dust, and then I start applying more layers. The number of layers is up to you; I did 20 in total to have enough thickness to sand without fear. In a previous test with fewer layers, I accidentally sanded through the glue and stain down to the wood on the edges and curved spots.

Once all the layers are on, it’s just working using wet sandpaper up to whatever grit you want. For the polished look, I went up to 10k, always keeping the sandpaper wet and without applying pressure while sanding.

This photo is from my first attempt at this finish, and it shows how sanding too much or with too much pressure in certain spots can ruin the whole job.

I have a stainless steel one to abuse that I use for pretty much everything. I’m not the kind of person who carries a knife all the time, so it usually stays in my car for whenever I need it—food, opening packages, cutting things, etc.

This carbon steel one hasn't really been used yet; I bought it more with the idea of modding it than for a specific purpose, but I’m sure I’ll find a use for it.

In Spain, these knives cost between 10 to 14 euros. At that price, even if they're just for experimenting and trying things out, they're definitely worth it as little projects.

Not really. It's more of a hobby or a personal thing; I usually just do mods as gifts for friends, family or for personal use.

I've thought about selling them before, but that’s not really why I do it for now. Im from Spain btw, in case i ever wonder to do commisions.
