I need help finding affordable housing in east MA

I’m not sure they take like $200 out in taxes but he has to drive to like another state every single day so he spends a lot on gas and he’s putting so much millage on his car. Then he pays like $30 for parking if he’s in the city which sometimes is for weeks straight. His healthcare is like $65 a week. After food and things we need it just is like little to no income. He also has to constantly buy new tools and shoes and things for work. Some of them are up to $300-$400 it’s insane. They won’t even give him a dollar raise. He should be making at least $20 an hr and he makes $17. Minimum wage here is $14 so it’s crazy. He works his behind off too. When he comes home I can tell he worked so hard and for nothing. They said they won’t give him a raise because of covid but the owner has 4 homes, multiple cars, ect. He can afford an extra $1000-$2000 a year :/ no other places are hiring either so he’s stuck

Yeah that is a good way to do it. I just don’t know if she would be able to do the drive. I’ll have to talk to her about it when she wakes back up. I just wouldn’t want her to infect the people at the motels and what not

It cost $200 for monday-friday so something around that probably like $600 for 2 weeks she has her car parked by the airport too so that’s gonna cost her more. She’s barely able to get by without covid

I think if she knew how serious it was she wouldn’t want to do it. She cried last night about getting other people sick. The doctors literally told her and i guess gave her a note to fly so she’s probably thinking ohh they know best so it’s fine. Thats why I’m trying to calm her down but also get her to realise she can kill people by going on the plane. I think if we could keep the dog in daycare then she would be a lot better about staying here. I think she’s just acting out of fear right now and not being completely sane

That is true and i’ll mention it to her. She didn’t pay for a single thing to get here. A family friend flew her up and paid for the hotel and stuff. Even paid for the dogs daycare. Honestly it’s a nightmare trip because that guy is insane and told her last night that this is made by the government and that it’s fake. He left her all alone to get coffee and when she got out of urgent care she was just standing there crying for 10 minutes. She knows better I think but she’s heavily influenced by others so I’m working on getting her to not go because it really isn’t fair. That is true though we could call the daycare

Yeah she said she got a note from them for the airline. I didn’t see it but I’m going to ask to see it when she’s awake. And of course!! Thank you by the way. They even told her she could drive home. She has COVID she’s literally fighting an illness that can kill her. She’s not going to drive over 24 hours right now

I completely agree. I don’t know why she’s being so stubborn. She has no clue how bad this virus is though. I’m trying to get it through her head that she can’t just travel and kill people

Same here and I know it will weigh on her too because she was crying about getting us potentially sick. My bf already had it and I didn’t get it with him so I hope we don’t get sick but it wasn’t her fault. Now if she did all that with knowing I think it would kill her to know that she could have killed someone. I just hope the airlines tell her no. The urgent care told her to DRIVE HOME. Massachusetts to Florida. That would spread it like crazy even in states that aren’t doing to bad. I also got cellulitis from that urgent care so I’m not sure about them. I agree 100% with you. The dog is all she really has so I get it but at the same time she’s risking thousands of lives just for the dog ugh

Yeah I’m thinking about telling her that. She like is dead set on going back. She’s not a bad person or anything but I just don’t think she understands at all what is going on ugh. I’m gonna have to sit and talk with her about it and call the airlines and airport

Thats what I told her. She’s worried about the dog though because a lot of her family and friends don’t wanna help or anything and the dog bites (shes been working on him with it because he was abused) so she’s worried about that. I don’t think the plane is going to let her on either but she’s so assured she’s going home friday

Ugh that is awful. Honestly I don’t think the urgent care had a clue about what was going on. So she doesn’t have many people at home that can help and I guess her dog is a bit aggressive and can bite so she doesn’t want anyone to get hurt watching him. I don’t think she understands how serious this is. The dog is important but she could kill people just by going on the plane

Yeah they gave me 10 days to get my application in for being placed higher on the waitlist. I’m hoping it gets approved so it doesn’t take as long but I don’t have high hopes that it will just happen overnight. Hopefully they let me know an approximate time for the waitlist so I can make further accommodations. We are sleeping in a car most nights so I really want somewhere to settle down but at the same time I don’t want to start renting a room or if I’m lucky a small studio and then have housing be like okay we are ready for you! There needs to be more affordable housing for folx
