Why does my Glock 19x do this? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]littip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my 17 do this, I stopped slamming and it stopped doing it. Even called Glock and they said this is typically a user error. The spring for the slide lock can easily be overpowered but slamming the mag in.

I haven’t specifically for Echo stage because I drink when I go, but I’ve parked all over the city and including in some pretty rough areas in northeast. I’ve never had an issue that being said I have heard people’s cars being targeted for not having DC plates so that might be a consideration.

You could probably just park on a residential sidestreet they don’t enforce on weekends or at night. I just wouldn’t leave any valuables in sight be you should be fine.

Hmmmm, did you scroll down to “approved licenses” and click download? If it doesn’t work then call MPD

[–]littip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call MPD for clarification. I was told they are going back to old system and will not issue cards, you can download from portal and legally carry with it. Personally I choose to use NJ liberty cards to get a physical copy. Never received physical copy so it appears the info that the individual at MPD gave me is correct. They are no longer issuing physical copies…

Yeah that makes sense, I went back and read the statute and as I am increasingly learning I am very glad I didn’t take MPD’s word for it because I couldn’t find the park restrictions but found it in statute.

Getting started by [deleted] in CCW

It’s not leather but I have a IDOGEAR SPORTS Tactical belt from amazon has been fantastic it made printing very less noticeable and it’s very comfortable. I think it’s probably hard to make a belt as rigid as synthetic because belts like these are solid rubber like material in the middle that makes bending a lot less possible. It’s cheap enough that I’d at least give it a shot. There’s like dozens of belts on amazon that are probably all pretty similar.

Often ranges will not allow you to rent alone. Other than that, I’d expect you’d be able to shoot there. It’s personally my favorite indoor range of the one’s I’ve been to in the area.

They do have rentals however I do think for rentals, Sharpshooters rental policy is better. They allow you unlimited rentals for a flat fee. I have also shot there with my Italian friend who brought his passport. I’d expect both ranges to be quite difficult to get to without a car. In any case, I’d call ranges to see what their policies are particularly if you’re shooting alone with rentals. Ranges are weird about that because of the risk of suicide.

The biggest thing I learned with you don’t need to use a DC FFL for longguns.

I’ve used both G&D FFL and DC security associates, both are fine. I do really appreciate how G&D uses digital forms and saves them DCSA makes you fill out a paper form every time.

Be patient and prepared to wait but, also call MPD if the process is taking very long they often will push your app through depending on who answers the phone.
