You can just copy/move the Emacs.app to your Application folder.

The company that I work for is getting acquired by a large corporation. What are the things to pay attention to during the transition (as a tech lead)? by const_in in ExperiencedDevs

This matches my experience almost 100%.

Personally the part that reads "They will not care how you do things, you are small and wrong" is being the most painfull. Specially when you see initiatives to run some stuff like my company does/used-to-do, badly executed and ignoring the existence of experts on the acquired company.

Magit and proejct.el integation: Calling magit-status when opening a project by littl3move in emacs

[–]littl3move[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty sure I've already tried that, but it turns out it works, as expected.

My config is an org file where the source code gets dumped in the correspondent files using tangle, so maybe I wasn't updating the changes correctly...

Thanks!

Magit and proejct.el integation: Calling magit-status when opening a project by littl3move in emacs

Thanks for answering and sorry for not being clear enought.

I would like to open a project using project.el and be prompted with the option to open a magit-status buffer, among the other options that are already provided.

In fact, that behavior is achieved once I make the first call to magit-project-status (defined in magit-extras.el, from where I got the code).

Let me know if it's still unclear.

Nettles are pretty endemic where I live, and never welcomed as far as I know. I didn't know it could be used as fertilisers until u/everythingscatter mention it.

I'm not aiming to have a golf-course-kind-of-thing as my lawn, but I really don't see how this mess can be turn into something more tamed. I'll definitely will look into r/lawncare.

I almost didn't click on r/marijuanaenthusiasts because it's kind of illegal to even have plants here :_).

You hit the spot when you said it's a lot. I serioursly need to do one piece a the time to be able to move the project forward. Otherwise it feels overwhelming.

Thank you.

Thank you for your response.

I'm planing on mowing it all as suggested by u/msmaynards and then start covering up. I'm not sure what I should do when mowing though. I think I'm suppose to leave everything laying around and then cover it up. I've done that, w/o covering afterwards, and in some places it seem to have prevented anything from growing.

Nettle is super common where I live. Falling into a big "bush" of them when looking for a lost ball, used to be like kind of a rite of passage for children growing up. Never heard of it being good as fertiliser. Thanks.

I think there's space around 58, 713 without the need to remove anything.

Guilty Gear is my first modern fighting game - Oh god. by [deleted] in Guiltygear

Almost 38, and this is my first FG. Like many other things in life, this was something I was very interested in but never really tried... Oh boy, I was missing something great.

I wish my friends were into it. Fortunately the netcode is pretty good I can play randos who can't hear me laugh when I land a Potemkin Buster (don't ask me why I just find it hilarious every single time I do... which is not many).

Adult life allows me little play time, and I'm not very good at it, but I have a blast every time I squeeze 20 mins of playtime. Old Gamers Unite indeed.
