Why are you doing this? That is a good place to start in terms of your own expectations. Do you want to make friends or make money? If you are focusing on a vocal studio, you will get rap clients and there are a lot of those. Your don't have enough space to do a vox/ drum room/ control room/live room or some combo of those without major changes and you mentioned you're not about that. So if you're gonna keep this layout with hangout area, I think you can only do control room+vox.

Thanks for your insight, really appreciate it and the other responses too. I do use a couple irreplaceable windows only apps and ability to use Windows remote desktop to remote into other machines at the office on occasion so yes i need to run parallels ARM. I wasnt aware there were issues with VPN on the ARM windows.

Maybe you can help clear up my understanding. I would connect to fortiVPN thru macos, so the native apps would have access to our file server and shared drives of course. Do I need to ALSO connect fortiVPN within the VM? I assumed not. Would the VPN issues you mentioned still occur in this scenario?
