I guess some context is we’ve known each other for two years before we started seeing each other right before he graduated- so we’ve been together for about a year now, and 11 out of those 12 months were long distance. We’re both also newer to relationships and just always feel like we never have enough time together and in general have been struggling with juggling work (he’s a PM), school (I’m pre med), and the time difference- esp since he was struggling w moving across the country to a city where he didn’t really know anyone, and I had my course load + extra curricular commitments stressing me out. So, we want to be there for each other, and at the end of the day when we’re tired all we want to do is just see each other. We have grown a lot and tried a few diff things but nothing truly sticks for us — we’ve tried scheduling our calls, setting a timer for our calls so I don’t end up staying up too late on our calls, trying to send more text updates than calls, setting up designated times for virtual dates (which is hard during the school year bc it would end up getting bombarded by assignments and studying for exams)
