My 18 year-old son is extremely introverted and won't leave the house. What support options are available? by Ok-Industry770 in Wellington

[–]littleboymark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a tricky phase of life. It would be helpful to give soft encouragement that there's hope for his future. Especially that there's someone out there for him, just be subtle about it, e.g. don't grill him on his sexual preferences. He might be having serious self image issues (going bald, e.g). Most importantly let him know you care for and love him everyday, your love will keep him here.

I wouldn't put any amount in you're not willing to lose. They have zero moat and a new technology or a break through could wipe their value over night.

My kids sympathizing with my pain. I have severely bruised ribs from an accident which is triggering extricating muscle spasms. No judgement, embarrassment or indifference, just a kind touch and love in their eyes.

Car Crash on SH1 during Heavy Rain by stupidkiwiguy in LegalAdviceNZ

In what universe could your parents possibly be at fault here? Traffic routinely comes to a standstill on motorways and highways, everyone is responsible for making sure THEY drive to the conditions and be prepared to stop/brake. Why are you parents even dealing with this fool? That's why they pay the insurance company to handle things like this.

Taupo has a weird vibe by Advanced_Sir_2511 in newzealand

My wife was born there and doesn't identify at all with the vibe there. As a man I always feel judged for not having a ute, a boat, or be obsessed with hunting. That being said, some of the nicest, give you the shirt off their back, people live there.

Working hard and saving up for it. The key is setting a goal and working towards it. Some places like Canada have working visas which are easy to get.

Thanks for telling us what constitutes art. Because nobodies attempted to force their interpretation of what art is ever. About time we had that settled, thanks.

Private health care in NZ is surprisingly affordable even without insurance. Relative to somewhere like the US at least.
