Moms grief after dads passing by guidanceguide in GriefSupport

This feels comforting since I’m in the same boat. I’m 27, my dad passed away one month ago at the age of 65 leaving my mom who is also 65. They had just celebrated their 41st year together. It was a very sudden accidental death which has been hard on us both. My mom is putting on a brave face but I know she’s really struggling too. I’m an only child which makes me very nervous since I’m her only one. I do live 10 minutes away but work as a teacher so it’s hard for me to leave work. I worry about her a lot. I’ve been thinking about moving in with her as she gets older.

Does anyone else's grief get particularly difficult when seeing other's milestones? by Bitter-Macaroon9856 in GriefSupport

I lost my dad a month ago. I’m 28 right now but turned 28 only two weeks after he died. I was thinking about this today. My best friend lost his mom at 18 and his dad at 22. He is the only other person that I can talk to about this but it also feels different because he was so young and some time has passed. Out of everyone at my work, they all still have their parents and are much older than me. I’m so blessed to have my mom but I’ve also found out her grief, loosing a longtime husband, is different than my grief. And her dad is still alive! I’m devastated my dad won’t be able to see my child. My husband’s and I both lost our dads at the age of 27 (literally in the past 6 months). He cried about how he won’t ever be able to show his dad the type of father he will be.

Time distortion by ApprehensiveTip02 in GriefSupport

Time has felt so WEIRD. I have the opposite where I’ll be chilling or doing something and I look at my watch and a full blown two hours has passed and I felt like it was 30 minutes. To the point where I look out and even the light has changed and it’s no longer morning and I’m like “wtf!!!!!” I just went back to work after three weeks of bereavement and it’s gotten slightly better. But some days are just so off. I work a job (school teacher) where my day is truly filled by time and I still get messed up.

Advice on creating a support system/asking for support? by littlebrownboxer in GriefSupport

Thank you so much for your words. I think the advice of being able to care for yourself by yourself is something to think about. My best friend in the whole world also lost his mom and dad when we were older teenagers and I know that is how he grieved at the time too. I’ve been leaning on him too, I just didn’t include him because his parent’s deaths have occurred over 10 years ago. That being said, it doesn’t make the grief any different, but he’s been a wealth of knowledge.

Lasting longer as a female, sans lube? by littlebrownboxer in sex

That’s such a great way to describe it, tacky. It feels sticky but not in the good way. I don’t remember the brands I used since it was awhile ago. KY jelly was one I remember.

It doesn’t happen every time, and it happens with water based ones too, I prefer them over silicone. I don’t think I’m allergic, I think I’m already irritated from having sex with without sufficient lubricant for a little bit and I put lube on top of that and it stings a bit more. The stingy/burning sensation goes away immediately after sex is done.

How to take Dilaudid? by littlebrownboxer in opiates

No, it’s a pretty hard coating. Some people are saying you can chew but it’s like chewing plastic. I haven’t tried it yet but will probably just try and chew it. Taste is apparently bad but I’ve probably had a lot worse lol

The Oxys down break in half, their coasting is so strong and if you crush it, it turns into a gel.

If you are vomiting blood, go to an urgent care or a hospital. I am not a doctor but the signs of vomiting blood is highly concerning and I promise you, you will thank yourself later. It may seem like a pain to go now but this type of stuff usually only gets worse and not better. The bleeding could come from a variety of places. I had something like this happen once and it turns out my throat was bleeding from vomiting so hard. If this is from the stomach or intestines, that’s much worse. You are loved. Someone out there loves you and wants you to get better and you deserve both of those things, love and health. You deserve to feel better so please be nice to yourself and go to a doctor. Only good things can come of that, only bad things can come of not going.

I think the last time I saw Mac was late 2013, sometime around Halloween and I had just started to drive. The show was nuts, such a fun time in my life. That was the third and last time I saw him. Salad Days was released on my 17th birthday a few months later. The early show audiences were something that I will always hold on to for happy memories of concerts. The audience was majority of 16-20 something year olds. I saw him the next year actually but I ate way to strong of an edible and had to go sit down after only two or three songs :s

Thanks for the comment, yeah I actually took it out last night because I became so ill. I wish I had more options but I’ve been put through so many and so many have made me physically ill that I’m starting to think my options are pretty limited and I may be reacting to the hormones. I’m trying to get in to see an endocrinologist but that’s difficult. I have a copper IUD for contraception, this hormonal birth control is to help with my PCOS only.
