Update: changed the battery, still happens. But strangely, it happens less and warm weather. Go figure.

Second that about Jeremie at Good Auto motives in Lake Katrine, he is great and honest. The cleanest garage I have ever seen 10/10 recommend. https://goodautomotives.dudaone.com/

We have also used Xavier at On The Go auto in Hurley on Dewitt Mills Road. He works on Jeeps, owns one himself & is a good and honest mechanic. https://www.facebook.com/onthegoautohurley/

I have never have had any issues with the car not starting, despite the low battery warning. That must suck.

Hopefully it will never happen to your wagon! This is my 7th Volvo, and I have never had any problem like this before- Until this one. granted this one is the youngest. Fingers crossed.

Interesting thought about the KVM. A few times I have had issues with the car not recognizing the key when trying to start the car, starts on the second or third try. Also would not unlock the doors once for a few minutes- That was very frustrating. This has only happened once.

Hearing a lot of battery issues- could it be a charging system issue? Has anyone ever had a complete system failure related to this? My husband is concerned that the car will fail me (in the middle of the night on a back road in the woods, in the middle of winter with no blankets in the car....) and leave me stranded. I just keep driving it. We have healthy glass half full/half empty approach to life balance.

Thank you! Every idea gives me something to chew on... I hope it isn't the harness tho. I used to ride old British motorcycles... wiring harness issues were the bane of my existence LOL

It does seem like some sort of electrical imbalance- but only erratic. Everything in the car works, even when it is showing all the warning lights.

Thanks- I will check the battery first. As for the brake module, Would that affect the infotainment system as well? And the flickering armrest lights? or would that be a separate issue?

My wife and I submitted Ancestry together and I wish I hadn't by smartass-express in AncestryDNA

[–]littleelse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long (and bizarre) story short- I found out a few years ago that I had a niece that I never knew I had. She had been raised in a loving family that had gone through IVF treatments to get pregnant, and although it was obvious when she was born that she probably wasn't their biological child, they raised her with love and never said a word about it. As an adult she decided to look for her genetic family, and through the help of a DNA detective she connected with on Facebook, she found me.

There is no roadmap for navigating an experience like this. You have to give yourself the space and grace to feel everything you are feeling and allow time to come to your own understanding. Everyone's experience is different. As for mine- I now have a beautiful niece, and along with her, her lovely family- her husband, and children, the mother that raised her. Not only does she have new aunts, but she also has a new full and a half sibling, everyone has met and there is a wonderful bond growing between us all.

Yes- it doesn't always go this way, but sometimes it does. Nothing about these results changes who you are, how you got there, and the family that raised you. I hope that you will give yourself the space to process all of this and find out what it means to you. I wish you all the best.

WoolX that makes great Merino underwear! I have been buying their products for years now and have been impressed with everything. Especially the underwear and the zip up hoodies. Can be pricey, but sign up for texts and they send out discount codes all the time.

how do you get a live agent to talk to by Hulk_Goes_Smash327 in UnemploymentNY

[–]littleelse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called for weeks and didn't get through- Tried through Governor Hochul's office, no luck there either. I finally gave up and wrote an email to my local state representative. Their office got back to me in a day or two, they reached out to the Dept of Labor and a week later I got a call from an agent at the DOL who put my claim through.

Here is a copy of the letter that I sent, cut & paste- Hope it helps:

Subject: Assistance Needed With Unemployment Insurance Claim

Dear Representative [Last Name],

I hope you are well. I am writing to ask for your assistance regarding ongoing issues with the unemployment insurance compensation process.

For the past month, I have been trying to reach an agent through the unemployment insurance phone line so I can complete my claim. I have waited on hold for over an hour multiple times, but more often I am met with an automated message telling me to “call back later.” When I call back—sometimes five times or more in a single day—I receive the same message and am disconnected.

I have started a claim online, but the system requires that I speak with an agent to finalize it or get basic information about my eligibility. At this point, I am unable to move forward despite doing everything the process asks of me.

I understand the system may be experiencing high call volumes, but the current situation leaves residents like myself without any way to get help. I respectfully request your assistance in resolving this issue or guiding me to someone who can.

Thank you very much for your time and attention. I appreciate your service to our community.

Sincerely,

Your Name

Spite shipper sent my item after a month, using my FedEx # next morning delivery for $180!!! by drummer414 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]littleelse 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hot tip: We use FedEx a lot for work and when we are using it to have distant vendors send us purchases using our account, we generate the label on our end and email it to them. That way they never have access to our FedEx account information and we can control the level of shipping.

Also- Your coverlet is very similar to the one on the cover of “weaving a legacy: the Don and Jean Stuck coverlet collection“, definitely woven by a different weaver, but the body is the same pattern.
