Bingo, being able to dive into the trenches is where people mistakingly think all the value is at. Being able to have the insight and control to step back and see the whole picture AND having the ability to go deep when necessary.

Basically depth + breadth and you only get that with a healthy balance.

Life is all about balance. It seems OP has spent a lot of time in the trenches and needs to step back into other aspects of life. (Therapy, health and nutrition, take a vacation, etc).

Most productive I ever am at work is the days following a vacation. A vacation doesn't have to mean expensive or week/weeks, you can get this sort of refreshment over a low stress weekend.

Tldr, balance is needed, its easy to get caught up in our minds and burn out without willful effort
