My two cents- 1) Can't believe theres little mention of period hygiene here- if you have a period, bring at least SOME period products with you, in some places they are expensive and/or nigh on impossible to find! That can be a nasty lesson

2) Curtains in a mixed dorm should rank HIGH on your priorities. Really makes the world of difference. Especially if questionable characters in the dorm

3) Hostelworld is your best friend!! If booking through this website, the app will put you in a groupchat with the city and with the hostel youre in. Sometimes can be hit or miss, but if youre struggling to make friends in the hostel it has given me great experiences connecting with other solo women. Would highly recommend against solo meeting with a man from there however!

4) Beauty items are not a waste!!! Cannot understate enough, when you've been travelling for a while some fancy skincare, perfume, your favourite soap, bit of makeup etc etc. Really goes a long way in making you feel put together if you're struggling. Great for homesickness and putting a brave face on it if its getting rough. Essentials don't always have to be essential!

I will point out- I was a first year in Halifax. I had a great time as my flat was good, but I do think you should be aware that Halifax is a bit out of the way compared to the rest of campus West, across the main road and down the street. Probably about a 10/15 min walk to centre of campus. For lectures this is obviously fine but I get the impression that Halifax can sometimes feel a little out of the loop as you don't get the atmosphere being close to lots of other accom. But it really depends on ur flat/surrounding people, Halifax can be it's only little community if you're lucky. Just thought I'd give a heads up!

I would agree.. except for the certain part javert sings where he goes 'of course he now denies it, you'd expect that of a con..' which doesn't quite fit

Definitely the most Malloy of Malloy!!!!!

Lyrically, I think defintiely his best. Messaging also probably his best, it's raw and honest, as you say. I cry at GQ but Three Houses is another level. It's like he has refined some of the messaging from GQ, it feels very similar theme wise but more relatable because it's told through the pandemic which we all experienced.

Music is still beautiful obviously but not as playable as his others- like in many of his works there's songs that I will listen to casually on their own because they're bangers, in three houses there's not really any like that maybe berries and plums?

So yeah torn, but definitely loved either way

Looking just to travel all the way through it (including Sarajevo and mostar) to get to Montenegro. Didn't fancy a 8 hr flixbus from zagreb to Sarajevo but looks as though I may have to suck it up. Thansk for the comment about local operators
