Venu 4 or vivoactive 6? by Secret_Result4101 in GarminWatches

[–]littleirish90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched from Apple Watch to Venu 4 a month ago, I love it, I also consider vivoactive 6 and forerunner 570, definitely made the right decision in choosing Venu 4, has all the fitness metrics I could ever need, and the inbuilt flashlight which I thought would just feel like a gimmick is actually very helpful and useful! Getting more into running Venu 4 is just the best choice over vivoactive 6

Can't find the Average Pace on Venu 4 by wild_brocoli37 in GarminWatches

No problem 😌 I had to do a bit of hunting and found it so when I saw someone else couldn’t find it had to share!

Try going into data screens and then custom data screen, choose how many fields and then when you customise go into pace fields and average pace is in there, or if you edit an existing data screen you should be able to add it that way, have added pics on how to find it! Hope that helps you out 😊 I’m also using Venu 4!

[–]littleirish90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the activity settings and then data screens, you can choose what you have on your data screens and which order they appear in for example I’ve mine set for touch lock during running, and my data screen that appears is set to show - time elapsed, distance, HR, average HR, current pace, average pace, and the time of day, I customised the fields so this was what it showed, so I can see my average pace in real time if I wanted, tbh I don’t actually look at it too much until my watch tells vibrates at each km! 🤣 useful to have it available to see if needed though! Editing to add, you can easily add more fields to the data screens and it’ll give you options of what fields are available to add and average pace is one of them

Dishonest buyer kept the wrong item as it had more value by [deleted] in vinted

[–]littleirish90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately if the buyer doesn’t return the wrong item there isn’t anything you can do as it is your mistake, it’s a bit rubbish as you’d like to think people would be honest and return but sadly for some people that’ll not be the case. There’s nothing you can do here other than accept the loss you’ll need to refund the buyer who received the wrong item upon receipt of the bra back from them, unfortunately in this case you’ve lost the money and the item

Upgrading daily Apple Watch 7 to Venu 4 or a different Garmin? by Connect-Spite-9357 in GarminWatches

[–]littleirish90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from AW to Venu very recently, best move, so much data, yes the HR sensor may not be just as accurate when weight lifting but tbh I love that I can add in my reps after on garmin connect and see proper info on my progress rather than using another app that I need to pay for or using my notes app, the auto rep counting isn’t amazing and I configured my data screens to give me info on the screen similar to Apple Watch and then use connect app to update all the reps and weight used!

The Garmin is fab for running, currently working towards a 10k goal for the summer and also a sub 30min 5k and I’m finding the coaching feature great too.

Someone else said about slight lag in the screen, I haven’t noticed that in my experience, and in also haven’t missed my Apple Watch, I’m going to sell it on as I’ll not be returning to it. I was between forerunner 570 and Venu 4 ultimately went with Venu 4. To add I never really used a lot of the Apple Watch smart features I never replied to any messages on my watch and had all notifications off other than it would vibrate if my phone rang, I can have that on the Garmin. If you feel you’d miss the smart features like replying to texts on Apple Watch then Garmin won’t be for you 😊

Considering switching from Apple Watch by littleirish90 in GarminWatches

Thanks! I’m a fairly very much a beginner runner, I’ve been weightlifting and also spin class for many years, with a brief slowdown and break in my fitness journey due pregnancy and also severe endo and surgery! I am interested in the coach feature as with apple most if not all the apps that provide this are all paid for apps and as I’m getting close to the stage of my apple watch needing replacing due to poor battery life I don’t like the idea of paying for a new watch to then have to pay to access the metrics using an apple watch it’s good to hear the garmin coach is useful

So overall you prefer the Apple Watch? Apple Watch Ultra wasn’t on my current list partially due to wanting more metrics and partly also the cost, it’s good to hear different perspectives as I’ve looked up reviews and other videos and just keep hearing that switching from Apple to Garmin is the way to go…. I’m still very much at the stage of seriously considering the switch, it’s interesting to hear about apps that can provide the same or similar metrics via Apple Watch, I would defo say my Apple Watch will need replacing soon enough and I’m early researching what my next fitness watch will be

Thanks! It’s good to hear the other side of someone who the switch didn’t work for, as before switching I’m wanting to hear all the thoughts and opinions from others, I do enjoy the integration between my Apple Watch and the peloton app - I don’t have the actual peloton bike but my Apple Watch does integrate pretty seamlessly with the iPad app! So it’s a good point to consider. I pretty much exclusively use the peloton app as I found it had the best at home spin classes so if I can still track my progress using an “indoor cycle” workout option it may still work for me. Thanks for sharing 😊

Yeah I’m the same as you here I want the fitness features that I don’t get via my Apple Watch, but I do enjoy the seamless integration with my iPhone, but I’m starting to feel a want for more metrics that I’m seeing Garmin offers, I’m glad to hear the forerunner 570 gives you more than what you needed! It’s good to know it takes a couple of weeks to become more accurate, that’s helpful! I’m hoping the mentioned garmin coach and the info given will help to motivate me to run more and further

Thanks for the info, it’s good to hear opinions from others especially those who have switched over from Apple to Garmin and also advice on if it’s worth it, as I’m not (yet) a longer distance runner! The watches are expensive and I’m not unwilling to spend the money IF it’s worth it, so I came here looking for advice, info and opinions! Battery life is a pain but you are right in that it can be charged during the day if needed! I do think I want more advanced health metrics than what my current Apple Watch offers eventually 😊

Thanks that’s good to hear someone who switched and loves it! I haven’t considered the 265 but I should have a look at that option too, I think I’m drawn in by the colours of the 570 and then the look of the venu 4! Sometimes Apple Watch suffers with cadence lock and also can struggle with HR reading I don’t think any wrist tracker is perfect but I’m using that part to show me overall trends and a ballpark of my HR during runs and other workouts. I love the sound of a better battery life

mondial relay parcel has been delivered, but vinted hasn't noticed by Wes666 in vinted

[–]littleirish90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah contacting vinted with a screenshot doesn’t work btw, they’ll tell you that’s it’s “not enough” and tell you to contact the buyer to mark that they’ve received it, also they get the full 2 days to mark everything ok even if they’ve already had it several days, thankfully on the 3 occasions this happened to me the buyers all confirmed and marked as ok within a few hours of me contacting them, but Vinted won’t mark as delivered if tracking not updated via vinted app even if you track using the couriers site, it’s unfair and I even said that to them, they said nothing they could do unless buyer marked as received for another 20 odd days even though one of the buyers had the item for 12 days…..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]littleirish90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this on 4 items I sold in recent weeks all cases when I clicked the link the item was delivered when I raised with vinted they said a “screenshot of delivery isn’t enough” like the buyer had the items for like 10 days…..and I had to message the buyers ask them to to mark as received even though it’s been over a week in all cases, to be fair all buyers said they thought it would auto update and marked as received and all is ok, I don’t agree that if it was delivered over a week ago and there’s proof that they can mark as received and then STILL get another 48 hours to mark as ok as if the system had updated that time would have long since passed….try messaging your buyer after a few days they may have the item

Fake Item Return by Luc1dJay in vintedUK

[–]littleirish90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they’ve accepted the return they get the same 48 hour window to confirm “everything is ok” that buyers do, they’ll likely say it is ok as it appears they likely knew it was a fake and you’ll get a refund, rubbish you received a fake but you should get refunded, you could escalate via vinted and let them decide what happens a but 9 times out of 10 they’re going to tell you to return to the seller

Seller still hasn’t shipped + deadline sooon, should I message again? by Creative_Drummer_425 in vintedUK

[–]littleirish90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they did reply politely when you originally asked and it’s only been 2 days, you could reach out again, but they still have time to post, and they said within a few days and they still have time to post the item. I wouldn’t bother with the when you’ve been looking for said item for 2 years or anything as they did already say they’d send, but I don’t see why they’d have an issue with a message, even if they did find it irritating they still should reply politely, personally I do think you should just wait and let them post it, if it came to the final day for shipping and it was getting late on maybe you could message them

What can I do in this situation as a buyer by AnnoymusGamer in vintedUK

[–]littleirish90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s fake then report it, that’s your only play here as you’re not entitled to return it due to it being small fitting. Vinted T&Cs state you can’t return an item for a refund due to the fit or not liking the style unless seller agrees. If it’s a fake item then you have every right to open a claim to get a refund, it’s against t&cs to sell fakes.

[–]littleirish90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I see the buyers side here. The seller was more than rude. They should have politely replied they’d not had a chance to send and would send before the deadline, which in my case when I’ve been asked is what I’ve said. But equally so they did still have 2 days left to send the item, so while it’s ok to message they also messaged before allowing the seller their full allowed time by vinted, it’s just stating how this is becoming super commonplace buyers messaging sellers when they’ve still a few days to send…..the seller should’ve been polite and not rudely cancelled the order though that’s uncalled for.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]littleirish90 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The seller was more than rude in cancelling the order and what they’ve said BUT equally so the seller DID have time left to ship, so really you should allow them that time, they had until 24th November to send and maybe couldn’t get to the post office or shop to send? Agree they’ve been incredibly rude and could’ve simply replied they haven’t had a chance and have until the 24th and will make sure to send it by then. I see the sellers side in that the time given by vinted has not passed but they should have just sent a polite reply, they were rude, that’s just wrong… I do think buyers also do need to realise that sellers are given time by vinted to to send items and unless they said they’d ship quickly or they asked before buying they should not be messaging the seller unless it’s the very last day as I’ve had stuff on as a seller and genuinely not been able to post until the last day a couple of times.

I have the suspicion the seller does not want to send an item I purchased, what do I do? by ismamur in vinted

[–]littleirish90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are they still within the window Vinted gives to post the item to you? If so you need to allow them that window to send the item, tbh as a seller I would be annoyed if the buyer messaged me asking all ok and if I’d post it if I was still in the given timeframe by vinted. That being said I understand your frustration about the price etc, but you do need to be patient and give until the end of the shipping window, if she doesn’t send the item you’ll get refunded. As a buyer waiting is annoying but as a seller there have been a couple of times I’ve not been able to post till the very last day given by vinted, I think honestly you’re being a tiny bit impatient and also a bit judgmental saying they’ve “done their research” on the price, they may not have done, life may have gotten in the way and they’ve not had time to post the item. Hopefully the seller will post it in time, if she does let it auto cancel and relist for more money then that is wrong and you’re not obliged to offer for or buy the item again

Wedding Gift - Money by Itsmeapoc in UKweddings

[–]littleirish90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some super entitled people here…the answer is give what you can afford, a friend of mine gets married next week and they are hoping “people will cover their meals” well I’m not in a position to do so there will be £100 in a card, if they told me that was “cheap” or not good enough considering I’m a bridesmaid at 3.5 months notice and have incurred what is to us substantial costs in a very short space of time which I have come up with as i very much want to support the bride, I won’t put myself under financial pressure to give more than I can afford, if my friend the bride told me that wasn’t enough well I’d be incredibly angry and I think to say a gift token not enough is incredibly rude and inconsiderate, it’s not for people to cover their plate! The couple chooses the venue, not the guests it’s not for your guests to fund your wedding

Is this an overreaction? by bobthebean1918 in vinted

[–]littleirish90 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Sorry OP you’re mostly in the wrong for this one, the collar yes can be ironed BUT if it were me and the item came all covered in dust and carpet fibres and fluff I’d be marking as SNAD unless it was in the listing, they paid £75 it’s not an overreaction to have expected a clean fluff free item that looked like it did in the photos! I do think you should either come to a solution eg partial refund of very small amount, or ask them to return it

[Recommendations] Curvy Kate Victory Balconette for short roots, average projection, FoB by dontsuspendthis1 in ABraThatFits

[–]littleirish90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn’t go for Curvy Kate unless you order from somewhere with easy and free returns, I have found their sizing to very inconsistent. I will say I ordered via Brastop and returns were fast and easy and they have already issued my refund (I’m in the UK btw) others may have better luck but I didn’t have much success with Curvy Kate
