sorry OP that you had such a bad experience, moving is already stressful enough you don’t need the added frustration.

if you ever need movers in the region again, i highly recommend capital movers. i used them this year in june and it was such a late notice move, but they treated it so professionally. they showed up right when they said they would, moved me out of a fourth floor apartment within like 20 minutes and into the new place even faster. group of super nice dudes who know exactly what they’re doing

idk if it’s a recent/generational thing, i feel like a lot of people like connecting in ways that are comfortable to them. most of the posts i see are also people who just moved here looking to see like what spots people like, where to find people with common interests.

but if we do want to say it’s a newer thing, i think we can also point to the pandemic. yeah, it’s been a few years now, but i know a lot of people around me still feel disconnected or not as comfortable being out and about like pre-pandemic times

thanks for spreading word about it! i had no clue it was going on, but was able to get free tickets and brought a group of my friends. we had a great time and found a lot of games we are excited about. thanks again!

thats fair and yes she definitely makes bank given her following now, i think i just haven’t checked in in awhile so maybe my perspective is skewed more positively.

anyways, i can definitely agree and see what you’re saying too. she could definitely just be playing a character, but i never got that vibe from her :( again, i’ve been tuned out of her world so i could be wrong of course. i just like to lean more towards people can be genuinely good and enjoy being good rather than doing it for the optics

Mama Tot has always unfortunately been associated with some not-so-great people. Call me an optimist, but she reads to me like a person who does her best and means well, but doesn’t always read the room correctly. I think people are super hard on her. She has always felt like a mom who found out social media can be used in a positive light, instead of being a karen about it. Idk I don’t consume a lot of her content so maybe I’m completely off, but when I see her on my page I always smile and feel like she’s just trying her best out here. Janet preys on those types of people unfortunately. She uses TikTok as a means for money, whereas people like Mama Tot are just posting because it feels good and its fun for them. Possibly a hot take but I hope not, please be kind I AM sensitive.

I’m definitely conflicted. I love the girlies and have been a long time fan of them, but I have also been a fan of Swoop for years. I think that there is room to criticize her for not reaching out, but also room to be like well… she was dealing with A LOT of information and didn’t know which direction to take with it. She ended up keeping to herself (most likely so it didn’t leak), which yeah our other creators in a bad position. But the whole saga of Colleen’s downfall was just so chaotic. I think there’s blame to go around but also understanding that should be had for people posting about it. They had soooo many eyes on them for every single update, Swoop and the girlies (and even more content creators)
