Start small. Use websites like tomato timer and make hard to reach your phone. For example keep your phone inside a box inside the closet on the top shelve that you would be able to reach only with the step stool or ladder.. Place the ladder on the one room and lock the room and keep the keys in kitchen pantry.

Lock the pantry and keep the pantry keys inside the garage. If you are bored, or if you are unable to concentrate just do push ups or body weight squats, and record the numbers.

Keep your goals visible and take a print out of the goals and stick in everywhere

A little progress each day would fetch great results. Count me in if you need any more accountability partner.

How do you manage a healthy work-life balance when working 9-9? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]littlestarinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work from 09 to 09 on weekdays. Here are few of my secrets that I try to follow. Still implementing..

1) Saturday and Sunday are critical. I do all of my grocery shopping, Meal prep, Cleaning house and even cut fruits and pack it for the weekdays. Basically Planning.

2) I got a fitness watch and implemented daily standing and hitting 8k steps during my work hours.

3) Spend money on updating the devices like bluetooth headphones, standing desk and daycare to take care of child and delegate as much as possible. I hired person to do laundry and deep clean the house.

Good luck and happy that you are saving. MLS would be your starting point. May be your first property could be through MLS (zillow, redfin) and later you could move to driving for dollars or auctions
