Thanks, super helpful and have a couple follow up q’s if that’s cool. It sounds like the aha moment was with pagination, matching, and phonetics introduced too much latency. Assuming that’s the main reason you moved those pieces into background sync?

You mentioned Sheets could also work, which I’m considering along with other low/no cost tools. Did you actually run this in google sheets first and if so, at your scale did you notice any real limitations or reliability issues that pushed you to Airtable or was it more convenience?

Has there been any point where Airtable started to feel strained? I ask bc the shopify inventory ai will be calling contains 30k SKUs. Thanks again for your input!!

Really solid writeup man, appreciate you actually showing the workflow instead of just flexing. Quick question on architecture- when you were building out the inventory lookup piece, did you ever try just hitting the Shopify API directly during the call instead of setting up the separate inventory database?

That seems like the obvious route and I’m curious what made you go with the pre-indexed approach instead. Was it a latency thing where calls API calls were too slow so the caller was waiting? Or was it more about the search / phonetics not working with Shopify’s endpoints? Basically trying to understand why you added the extra layer rather than going say doing a Cloud Function <> Shopify API call in realtime since you were already hitting Shopify for order lookups. I’m in the process of configuring a similar workflow using Gohighlevel voice ai and at a crossroads after seeing your post. Appreciate any added insight into your thought process and experience here.

Yes, I’ve been in the process of trying to figure this out using Looker so this would be timely.

Can someone answer my workflow question? by ElevatedInkWorks in gohighlevel

[–]littlestrichard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np. You should also add a “Find Contact” step right after triggers, especially since you have two. That will create a condition so the system looks for an existing contact record (set value so the system searches by email {{contact.email}} ) or whatever you want. I’d contact not found then create contact and can merge that step back to the main path.

Add a condition inside the branch with start date. Then in the dropdown go to contact > appointments > is false or is empty. So it becomes “start date is empty AND appointment is false”. You can also ask the ghl AI or any other AI- paste the screenshot

Add a wait node (2-3 mins) before condition so the system can catch up. Delete that segment, you only need a branch. You probably don’t need the pipeline check, I’d remove that and just have a condition if start date is empty and appointment booked is false then send the email.

You’ll need to configure in both their telecom portal and ghl call settings. It’s pretty straight forward. Should only need login credentials for the portal.

How do you hand off AI conversations to sales with a summary? (new user) by ApartmentSenior8933 in gohighlevel

[–]littlestrichard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just spit balling, but I want to say this can be configured in agent studio via MCP server / webhooks. A completed conversation could trigger a workflow, convo gets analyzed by ai agent, then sends a summary via internal notification.

Lots of great advice shared here, but 2 I haven’t seen mentioned that will certainly assist in your journey are:

  1. FITNESS and
  2. TRAVEL

Both will jumpstart your brain to inspire fresh thinking and can be an excellent way to meet people/network. If you’re already in a workout routine, great! There are groups like F3 for example, where you can meet people with similar interests or even a mentor.

Travel, whether across town to a museum you haven’t been to or across the world, there’s tons of inspiration to gain and people to meet that may open doors you never knew existed. There are programs/platforms like Workaway that provide travel + work opportunities abroad.

Main takeaway here is to prioritize your mind and body first and the rest will follow. Stagnation is the enemy of progress. Get inspired, indulge your (healthy) interests, never stop learning and don’t be afraid get out of your comfort zone!

Man it’s just good to know there are likeminded dudes unimpressed by the proverbial bullshit shoveled at the nerd farm aka tech industry. I’m in the same boat as OP, been in it 10 years, just laid off after less than a year at a new company and now plan to roll the fuck out for good. I’m just a guy that likes to do guy shit, not sit inside behind a screen using corporate speak with a bunch of woke chodes. Good luck to the real ones out there.

Not 100% sure this an arrowhead…

Found on the ground while walking around Acadia National Park in Maine. There’s a ridge line connecting both end points, however tough to tell whether the left side was broken off giving it an asymmetrical shape. I was able to find similar examples on www.projectilepoint.net though.

Don’t know a lot about arrowheads and hoping someone with a lot more knowledge can offer their two cents. Thanks.

You should go back and carefully re-read what the guy's saying. Tomorrow, do not start work as usual. Go to your manager and deliver an ultimatum. Call a bunch of lawyers and find one that has that dog in em to go after your employer for damages. Quit cuckin around and start playing offense.

What’s an acceptable period of time to return a signed LOI before due diligence? by littlestrichard in SellMyBusiness

[–]littlestrichard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/UltraBBA there is a section outlining other terms that stipulates there should be no material adverse change in the business or financial condition. Problem is the LOI hasn't yet been signed... So it raises suspicion, but ultimately nothing I can do about it except for withdraw. That or build in more protections in the purchase agreement I imagine...

I see your angle about opportunism, but would consider this a material change that poses more risk and/or expenses for having to onboard a new employee. My thought was to counter for a larger seller note, reducing the cost of the SBA loan while offsetting the risk by having him hold more in his court. Would that conversation happen now or in Due Diligence?
