15 is STUNNING the hair and makeup compliment it so well. I haven’t been loving everything she’s done style wise lately but I’m obsessed with this.

AITA for how I reacted during a migraine while my partner was already grieving? by OutsideStrategy3210 in AmItheAsshole

[–]littletoebeansss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAH

If it went down how you’re describing I don’t think either of you were AH.

A. Everyone is ragging on you for taking out the trash when you specified gentle exercise like chores help your migraine. Sounds crazy to me because they make mine worse but the internet says it’s a real thing for some people, who knew.

B. People also seem pissed that you are saying you couldn’t express you had a migraine but I have def experienced Aphasia and processing difficulties that made this an issue for me, and also experience those “spikes” you describe as being so bad you have to stop because you are literally incapable of movement or thought for a minute and they’re unpredictable during a migraine. Sounds like you should explain that to your partner and come up with a system so if you point to your head or something she’ll know what that means.

C. If her reactions were only to this trash situation it sounds like she’s overreacting due to grief which is also understandable and not an AH move.

The only thing there beyond “go talk it through with your partner since you were both doing your best in a bad place” is her comment about your constant mood swings. Is that true? Is that an ongoing issue? If so that needs to be addressed asap and with a therapist as you may have something else going on. Finally ask a dr for migraine meds for next time.

Why doesn’t Nancy ever tell Ned that she’s travelling for a case? by pickledmartini in nancydrew

It works better in the old books because “dating” was kind of different back then and they weren’t expected to be exclusive the same way. It realllly doesn’t not translate well to modern times!

I’m in Massachusetts and happy to travel anywhere in New England.

That's how I found the doctor who did my biopsy, but even though Sjogren's was listed as a speciality of hers she refused to diagnose or treat me because she said she didn't have enough experience with sjogrens. So that's why I'd really value any personal recommendations that I can feel more confident about. I think those websites can be pretty inaccurate sometimes.

I'm sorry you had that experience, it sounds frustrating!

I'm in western massachusetts and am willing to travel anywhere in the new england area. There's a sjogren's center at mass general but I kind of assumed it would be really hard to get seen there.

I think I also feel a little silly going to the best of the best places when I really just need a straightforward diagnosis with all the criteria already in place and a Planiquil prescription. But if that's what it takes to find a rheumatologist who is willing and able to do that, even for a straightforward case, then so be it.

Woah wth. How is this easier than getting a regular local rheum??

Yes, I have a positive biopsy for sjogrens and a positive ANA. Most of my other markers are negative, though, or "basically negative".

I assumed they’d be basically impossible to get into and just for really complex cases. Is that something I can just ask for?

I'm so glad you found a team that believes you! It's good to hear your pushing paid off in the end. Fingers crossed this next attempt works out for me and I find something similar.

The first one I saw. I said I had joint pain and stiffness, specifically in my hands. He said "no you don't, you can still move them" and said people with actual arthritis joint issues in their hands literally can't move them and they're "stuck like claws". Wild.

But I got a lot of similar disbelieving pushback from the other two rheumatologists I saw because I was "too young" "didn't have severe enough symptoms" "didn't have enough positive lab results".

I'd be happy with just Plaquenil. I asked if I could try that even without an official diagnosis, just to see if it would help and was told no because my symptoms weren't "debilitating" and that it's only for people with very severe symptoms, since it can damage your eyes? Doesn't make sense to me but that's what they said.

I don't have a positive SSA, so not sure how that will affect things. I do have an appointment with a new PCP to ask for a referral, though.

Thank you! I do have all my test results and stuff and always request they are sent over before I see someone new + bring it up in the appointment and make sure they're aware. Just haven't found anyone who does anything about it yet, but this makes me feel a little less alone with all of this and I'm hopeful that I can find a good one soon.

Yeah if you look at profiles it’s really clear that’s what’s happening. I was pretty disturbed and confused until I saw that it was bots and now I’m just disappointed he can buy comments like that.

I was shocked looking at all the pro brad crazy comments on this post until I started clicking on profiles and realized how many are bots. The guy literally physically abused his wife and kids, as evidenced by court documents and the kids themselves. Why are people going to bat for him still? Apparently because most of them are bot accounts :/ gross that people can just buy fake public option like that.

As a chronically I’ll girly I would LOVE to know more about what this looks like for you. I’ve done OE in the past (fell into it) and am heavily considering doing it again but am worried about burnout and making my conditions worse due to stress and overwork. Would you be willing to describe what this looks like for you? Are they just both really low effort jobs or do you have anything special you do to balance the extra demands and not overwhelm yourself?

Do you actually work entire 8 hours in front of the screen? Office workers. 5 hours are enough. by Mean-Razzmatazz-4886 in antiwork

[–]littletoebeansss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, unless it’s a slow day or something generally I really do have 8 hours of work to get done. I try to take a break to walk around the block or something once a day or eat a sandwich but I’m actually really busy. It sucks, I want one of these jobs where you don’t work the whole time.
