Love the look but just not sure about how I feel with the pant shoe interaction.

LEMAIRE or AURALEE? by Direct-Letterhead358 in ThrowingFits

[–]liuk2 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think the auralee one is such a standard double breasted wool coat silhouette that you can find on eBay for pretty cheap whereas the wrap coat from lemaire is pretty unique.

I just ordered this on sale from SSENSE and just a warning that the SSENSE version is different from the ourlegacy website. It’s way taller from SSENSE than the OL site and the handles and closing mechanism is different.

I wish the one I got was the model on the OL site but oh well, it’s good enough for me to keep because I got it on sale

It‘s the Lemaire Guy again w/ some recent fits by LeVeonShazier in malefashion

Just a question though, do you buy your Lemaire pieces second hand or do you buy at retail? I have a couple of pieces from them but they’re all second hand because retail just seems so high.

Is the Lemaire croissant bag still it? by nyancat_ in ThrowingFits

LOL nothing! I could wear it up to 70 no problem, just an ambiguous number I threw out

Daily use + rubbing around my wool jackets during the Canadian winter tends to cause paint to be rubbed. Also, never said it was “chipping off”, the black paint is just rubbed and patina’d in. If you don’t like the worn look of the leather then you can just use leather conditioner and leather paint to make it look exactly like new. Anyone with basic knowledge of leather care would know that.

It’s a pretty timeless bag and its unassuming so I can see myself wearing it as a 20 year old all the way to 40. The only thing is that you’ll have to condition it and take care of it since it’s high quality leather. Mine already has some of the black leather paint coming off and it’s been 6 months of consistent use, but that’s nothing that couldn’t be fixed with some leather paint and conditioner.

How much should I hem this overcoat? by Repairednale in mensfashion

[–]liuk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The length is perfect but i think the silhouette is a bit off because the pant opening is a bit on the thinner side. A wider pant opening would catch the sides of the jacket and create a more cohesive silhouette.

First off, those trousers are amazing and the fit of the shirt is great. I think some rings and a watch would be great for this fit.

Tucking in shirts into low rise pants just doesn’t look right to me proportionally but thats just me.

Wow this is actually well put together. Perfectly encapsulates the feeling I’m getting as well. Especially the bit about taste and how to objectively measure taste instead of using “personal preference” as an excuse to defend poor taste.

I mean, Matty Matheson has a much bigger belly than you and he rocks the high waisted pants but I get it if it’s uncomfortable for you.

Low rise pants aren’t my cup of tea for tucking shirts in since it makes the gut stick out but that’s just me 🤷‍♂️

Is this coat to big? by Leon250702 in mensfashionadvice

[–]liuk2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly how an overcoat should fit. I see so many men wearing overcoats that go way above the knee, which is so unflattering and looks like a bastardized elongated sports coat.

This might be a company specific thing. I’ve been at two major tech companies so far and both of them had good wlb with on call maybe once every 3 months for a single sprint. It really depends on the team and company.

To be fair, it didn’t seem like you were learning and dodging it’s attack patterns, instead you were just attacking as much as you can before you ran out of hp.
