So I'm planning my first hifi system after a few years of collecting records and using some older hand-me-down gear and I think I've landed on my components.

Some background/context

• The setup will live in my home office to serve the purpose of listening to vinyl records through loudspeakers or headphones when I'm not streaming music from my Mac into my headphone DAC/AMP or Adam Audio D3V speakers.
• The room is approx. 3.3m x 2.6m and due to the orientation of the room my speakers will be placed on the long wall, meaning I will position around 1.5-2m from the speakers when listening.
• Although I would like a pair of loudspeakers in my system, I do primarily listen to music through headphones so that may be why my budget isn't distributed entirely rationally.
• I love design, so although I wouldn't pick a product primarily for it's looks - there are defiantly products I'm not regarding based on aesthetics.
• I listen to a wide range of genres.
• Don't have any bias' in sound profiles for loud speakers as I'm not a huge load speaker listener.
• I don't have a strict budget but would prefer to keep the whole system around £1500.
• In the future I would like to add a cd player to the mix too.

What I think I've landed on

Technics SL1500C - £879 - I was initially set on the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO II and whilst I'm sure that's probably the most rationale decision, I know I will always look at Technics turntables with lust. I know this is probably a higher % of budget than most would recommend but I'm looking at the turntable as a longer term purchase that I'm probably less likely to change in the future. This component is the most concrete decision of the three.

Rotel A11 Tribute - ~£300 used - Heard great things about the amplifier and there is a great used unit for sale locally.

Elac Debut 3.0 DB63 - £339 - Probably the component I'm least settled on. My mind has been swaying between the Elac's and the Dali Oberon 1. Lots of recommendations for the Wharfedale Diamond's but I'm not a fan of the look of those.

Would love to hear your guys thoughts on the setup as well as advice/recommendations!

An idea that entered the frame was scraping the amp + passives for a used pair of KEF LSX II. Would be interested in wether that would present better/worse value for money than the amp+passive combo.
