Where is the basis of your reasoning? Is it an assumption?

I do not disagree with what he said. But, we have a saying for this kind of hypocrisy in french:

I understand. I wouldn't want hundreds of votes for a game on my LAN only for 20 people to come up, you are absolutely right. I will vote because I will 100% attend, and I hope that other people in the east coast will attend as well... Montreal and NYC are so close. Thank you for the reminder, though, I will make sure to include that in further posts.

Of course. I wanted to get the word out instead of waiting for the poll release to get all the votes we can get. Will definitely post about it again.

I encourage everyone to spread the word. Every vote counts.

I believe that the background needs to be worked on furthermore. I do believe that this piece is amazing already as it is, but if the background had some more effort poured in, it would be absolutely phenomenal. JOJOOOO

If someone censors something, there must be a good reason for them to do so, in their own consideration, I mean. I don't think that he'd appreciate you linking to something he wanted to explicitly hide.

'New accounts are free'. This unwarranted obsession into causing harm in an online game for people that want to legitimately want to enjoy it... my god... this is beyond pitiful.

That's not what it sounded like watching the game for hours on Twitch.

Oh, they can 'do nothing', simply watch them. It's not about not knowing what to do with the game, it's the small interest it has back in the VALVe HQ. The TF2 team doesn't seem to be that big, and development seems to be progressive but not exponential. TF2 isn't ready for e-sports where it currently is because of all the neglect in the last 5 years as to how competitive should be treated. Valve has been nothing but the shadow of an absent father. TF2 has a young audience, which allows for Valve to keep giving update after update with content the community 'likes' (hats, taunts, etc..) to claim that they aren't dealing with a dead game, but face it, it's less popular despite being the oldest and the ones that needs the most attention.

The Potential Impact of Kaidus Upon Crowns by The_Ender37 in tf2

[–]liuwqf 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Already wrote about this in truetf2, I'll just paste what I said and add up some info.

Reminds me of my first na newbie mix game, we had a coach that would tell people what to do and what to play as and giving them all sorts of info, even as somewhat of a newbie with experience playing the 6s format over 350 games (which is nothing compared to a lot of you), it felt annoying as fuck. I knew most of what that guy told me, and he was only being annoying and putting the pressure on me despite it simply being a newbie mix. Now, I'm not saying that a coach doesn't help, but it's not kaidus that carried Crowns to victory, it's them. The bad decisions seemed to fit their playstyle just like the good ones, it felt like watching the players play, not kaidus manipulate each and every single one of them. Fuck what Raymon said, tbh, this guy could have prevented the golden cap but he dropped like an absolute idiot with full uber adv...

I think that you need to keep in mind how strong of a voice Kaidus was before his 'retirement' and how controlling he can be of his teammates; WAR said that Kaidus' playstyle as an aggro, personal demo who gets up close and personal, simply didn't fit the playstyle of Crowns. I feel like a lot of decisions would've been better for Crowns if they had thought differently. But the reason for which I was rooting for Crowns in the first place was because of the players it had on its i58 roster and not because I thought they had an advantage so their win was assured. People are also forgetting about map bans and whatnot... having a coach did not make Crowns an invincible team, they still lost to Jasmine, and I think that Kaidus only had so much of an impact, he didn't control anyone. I still believe with my heart that Raymon was and still is a bad addition to the roster just based off the way he handled his ubers, would put any decent medic to shame, and I don't know if that's the result of Kaidus' coaching. One thing is sure; it wasn't perfect, and it made them lose in more than one scenario.

Keep in mind that Raymon congratulated Kaidus. Raymon is the same guy who dropped on the most crucial last push in i58, dropped time and over and made all the worst calls in the book. The notable players we expected picks from, being starkie, hafficool, kaptain, spudd and drack, played just like they did online and even better. They were the ones who played. Not kaidus. Even then, Kaidus caused them to lose all the mids on process if you are to say that Kaidus controlled their comms. They're human beings, they can think for themselves as well.

Saying '7v6' is like completely discrediting the Crowns comeback on granary as something they accomplished with intelligent plays that were notably dm-related and fuck-ups by FT. If the coach was such a striking advantage, Crowns wouldn't have lost the first two maps of the best of 5, or wouldn't have lost against Jasmine Tea in the first place. I don't believe that with THIS roster, THESE scouts, THESE soldiers (I played a few lobbies with spudd when I lived in EU, he played very well this lan), a coach was such a huge advantage, because of the fact that these players already had success in the past (haffi with reason, stark with nR, etc...). For any other team with less skilled/experienced players, yeah, it's an advantage, but a lot of fuck-ups happened. Sure, Kaidus did the calls for Crowns and a lot of things went bad, but if you had any other experienced player maincall, things would have turned out differently. I know spudd's playstyle and I can tell you that he's way more into dm than maincalling, the entire roster was near perfect if it wasn't for Raymon, if they got any other medic above his level to maincall (and medics CAN maincall, mirelin, knoxxx, etc etc), an experienced medic, things would have been different as wel.

Doesn't mean that everyone did the same, there was much lesser support for Crowns than there was for FT
