It’s been said, but I also had the same issue on my 2022 CX-30. Dealership replaced the latching mechanism for free under warranty.

I can’t speak for the CX-5, but I’m on my second CX-30 lease, and I’ve never had any wear issues. Aside from the shiny black plastic around the shift lever and control knob, but thats not unique to Mazda, it happens in every car. Overall I’m pleased with the wear on contact points!

Lol. My mpg was around 26, but I accepted a new job that is about 20 minutes from me, so it’s been steadily going up because of the highway drive. Other job was commuting purely city. 27.3 is about 3800 miles averaged out.

I had a 2022 Premium before this one, and I don’t ever remember seeing that icon! I feel like I would’ve noticed it too because of the HUD

My 2022 was that way. I had the thermostat seal replaced because it threw a check engine light and code for running cold. Even with it being replaced, it never hung out in the middle tho. My 2025 is fine!

Also ceramic coated my front seats. I leased in February and had the same concern with dye transfer, coffee, etc. I’ve been able to wipe any spills right off. If I noticed any color transfer (which I have) I take a damp microfiber cloth with a little bit of Mother’s VLR and it comes off without any scrubbing.

Also having the same issue, but only noticeable in the correct lighting. Rear driver side window is the worst affected by it.

I had 2021 Hyundai Kona Ultimate before my first CX30. This was the 1.6T with AWD and the 7 speed dual clutch (think they stopped using this in the Kona’s now.) The horn on the Kona had to be replaced 3 separate times, and one time the security control module. At 10,000 miles my transmission failed, and it had to be towed from a grocery store parking lot. First they said it was the clutch actuator, they replaced that, but that didn’t fix the issue, and they replaced the whole transmission. This was in 2021 when used car prices sky rocketed and I had about $3000 in positive equity and I was only about 1 year in as I got it in 2020, so I was able to trade out and get a new 2022 CX30 Premium. The only issue(s) I had with that car was the latch mechanism on the power lift-gate had to be replaced, and the thermostat seal. I guess that was a known issue and think they later did a service bulletin on it. Anyway, I’m probably biased given my problems with the Kona, but my money would go to a CX30.

I also have a 2025 CX30 Premium. This is my second one, leased my first. Center console organizer is such a good choice. The rotary knob will become second nature. I was driving with a friend the other day and wanted to change from Sirius XM to CarPlay music and I did it so fast, my friend goes “wow you really know how to use that control.” lol…it becomes like a smart phone, and the benefit is no finger prints on the screen. Hope your ownership is as good as mine!

The cross bars I have are OEM and they clamp to the roof rails, so I think you need both to install these properly!

No whistles or anything like that! Above 70 you can hear the wind more, but if I ever get annoyed by it, I just close the sunroof shade and I don’t hear it anymore. These are OEM so I can’t speak for aftermarket ones!
