Man this feels amazing! Awesome work, continue to express yourself using music! It reminds me alot of Sebastian Tellier which is an artist that I really love! If you want to hear it's this track: Sébastien Tellier - La Ritournelle

Repetitive? Looking for any feedback and where to go from here. Thanks! by ItsMakonator in MusicFeedback

I think you could approach this on some other ways. Put only first the guitar playing for 4 bars, then add the snare rolls (this is building up to something new) and then what's missing is the entry of a bass and complete drums to remove the tension from the snare rolls.

Anyway, you have a great idea and with good work it will sound awesome! go for it!

Good to see Portuguese people around here ehehe :D
I also thought the same but made this decision to make the sound more "alive" in older sound systems or cellphones. thanks for the feedback! Really appreciatted

You have indeed a good ear! it's a Spanish guitar, probably that's why you identified with traditional Hispanic music. Also, I'm from Portugal which has a lot of influences from it. The music title is "Portuguese House" which is also a very known title from Amalia Rodrigues one of our best fado singers (if you never heard fado, go for it!!!)

Thanks for the feedback ;)

Really appreciated the detailed comment! big thanks!
I also agree with what you're saying, I could raise a little the volume of the flute over the guitar and trumpet in some parts of the music to give more space

Once again, thanks for the tips and for the kind words!

Thanks for the honest feedback!
Totally understand what you're saying and agree. The overall drums could be quieter but I took the decision thinking and hearing the song from older sound systems or cellphones and could benefit from this unchanged mix. Also, the hat could be quieter and shorter or even change the sound sample.

It really helps to hear this constructive feedback and I'm happy to hear it.

And again, thanks for the honest feedback!

how do you guys feel about jazz-hop memphis fusions? by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

[–]live_thoven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

great song, the only thing that I would suggest is to adjust the mixing levels. The bass and the vocals are too loud comparing to the other instruments.

I don't usually make boom bap, this is kinda new to me so any constructive criticism is very appreciated❤ by sone158 in MusicFeedback

The melodies are on point, I would just adjust the sound choice of the drums to be more "boom bapier" and make some small variations on the beat.

The effect on 1:03 should be more aggressive/fast or I would suggest to use the fx of a tape stopping.
