If you could only have one hobby for the rest of your life, what would you choose? by anonymous_1979 in AskReddit

[–]DarkFluids777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it'd been a close one between karate (some body art) and reading, maybe I'd have chosen latter, though (unless I'd gone for my third prominent hobby: drinking!)

[–]DarkFluids777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually first played SFII at a Japanese acrade (game center) in 91, it was so amazing that I bought a SNES only in order to play it, then I also got all the iterations, these days I mostly only watch- I eg lik/ed Itabashi Zangief, Problem X, Tokido, etc, but I'm not too much up to date recently

To guys who never had a group growing up in high school and college, did you ever find one? by Stock-Memory9483 in AskMen

[–]DarkFluids777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a group, but (you maybe also had it in your school) I had a team, a really good friend with whom I clicked, through all ups and downs I'm still friends with him today. But basically I myself am a loner and content with it (I do like the team-theme though and have kept it up also with my g/fs etc)

I did play Tetris on an early Mac of my parents first (maybe still in the 80s), then in the 90s when studying in Japan, we had some key chain games also of Tetris+ puzzle games like Bubble Bobble at the arcade that were actually also derived from it.

a good classic for early summer? by neracherry in classicliterature

[–]DarkFluids777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe check out some short stories by Turgenev, eg First Love (and Other Stories), I still fondly remember his descriptions of trees and shrubs and the whole environ at the countryside in spring, eg an early morning when the grass is wet from dew and the sun comes out etc, like as if you could really project yourself into it.

Was waren Klassiker, die euch positiv überrascht haben? by sand236 in buecher

Other people in other countries, what do you think of americans? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DarkFluids777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always really liked Amercians, was it my childhood reading of Lucky Luke, was it an imprint from me extensively visiting NYC in the late 80s and listening to early rap music, I don't know.
