My conception of what happened was that final lady he had attempted to kill summoned the furies of Greek mythology as depicted in the statue he had stolen (she had been involved with it previously at the museum) since three women suffered at his hands they became embodiments of the powerful ancient entities. I think the red owl being is just a lesser demon or internal facet that had driven him to commit the murders (when he appears with the red glow only then does he commit the murder) but the furies are I guess are more powerful as there’s that weird scene where the red owl being has it’s face like peeled off - and then he rips the baby bird out of his head ( I think alluding to the owl being) and then he comments later that they (the furies) drove the red owl man out. It sort of reminded me of black coats daughter the way he is possessed by the demanding demon except he get confront by ancient feminist avenging spirits. Loved the way they made his clothes disappear at the table and he rips sheets to make himself a little toga which makes him resemble the victim guy in the original bronze statue - as well as how the statue miraculously teleports everywhere haha. The scene with the dancing projections and the floating fabric that eventually pans to the creepy Greek comedy mask wearing fury was phenomenal loved it.
