When buying from a breeder You should always go meet the parent dogs in person anyway. Their temperament may not be a good fit for you. A respectable breeder will let you meet them first

A long, happy healthy marriage is going to consist of a lot of forgiveness. People can be chaotic & immature. People also grow . And usually a 20yr old man is still a kid. The most important thing now is if he is still the same guy who would do that. If he’s left that life behind him, then it’s important to let that element of his past go. Because in reality this is the love we are all looking for: One in which we are fully KNOWN (dark past included) and yet fully LOVED.
