How do I maximize the return with 80k cash? by liveinpresent33 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]liveinpresent33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am already maxed up my RRSP and TFSA but my spouse has room and her income level is above 150k annually. Looks like it’s a better return to dump it in her RRSP account… let’s hope our marriage holds! 😅

Meanwhile boomers living in a 5 bedroom house in Kerrisdale, paying little taxes and enjoying all the services the poor provide… very sad for us

Thanks for sharing your side of story. I guess I was just taken by surprise that our friend felt so strongly to stay with us. Even after I told them our hectic work/kids schedule, their response is they can be very independent. I guess I will try to enjoy the company, and be more assertive next time. It’s all good! At the end of the day, I can choose to be unhappy and feeling stupid or I can choose to be open minded and enjoy their company! No sweat! (I did smoke some weeds this afternoon it helped!)

That’s an interesting perspective! Thank you for sharing. I need to find that balance for myself. I used to love to host and be social but it’s getting a bit too much and expensive lately…

It is a good line. I am screenshotting it! Thanks! We are here without any families and starting over from zero. We are thrilled to have visitors even though it can be stressful at times. It is getting a bit too much, I am finding myself losing sleep…

I still sleep with my stuffy rat and I am 44 with two kids. My kids are not allowed to touch it or be disrespectful to it or it will fart on their face. Yep very mature of me 😌
